The AD2 is just the new generation NT. It has more traction, more adjustments, it's stronger, and it's easier to drive fast.
The wheels are stronger and they're universal front to rear (which is a lifesaver..think of how many times you've needed rear rims but only had fronts, and vice versa), and the quick-change rear axles are pure genius.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the old truck...I swore by that thing. The new truck is just an evolution.

There is no reason not to upgrade, not saying the old one cant be fast if not faster than the new truck, the new truck is just easier to get to go fast. Just as Aaron said. Mine will be upgraded in a few weeks

The AD2 is a nitro powered truck and the MF line of trucks are electric powered.

The AD2 jumps,handles,better stability,stronger,easier to drive,ummm i like it better than the ad1 and other nt's.

Yea dude, I just did this. It cost about 150 bucks, that without the cost of the chassis. I will probably get that later. If you already have a motor and such Id say just get the new truck. But I was getting BACK into nitro so I got a good deal on a truck with servos and a motor from a guy i race with. So i bought it and lol like 3 weeks later the new truck came out..so here i am upgrading. hehe.

You need all the rear end parts. Arms, pivot block, rear hubs, arm bushings, hub bearings, drive shafts, rear axles. I think that kind of covers the rear. For the front you just need new arms and caster blocks. There are other little things like they changed the material of the battery box and they added a pressure line hold down on the reciever box. Oh the rear shock tower has been updated (stronger) but is interchangable with the old one. The rear end changes all have to be done at once since non of those parts are interchangable. You will also need new rims if you change the rear end and to make the new rims run up front you need new front axles.
