hey all...got mine last night. here are my thoughts so far.....

sport speedys are a very tight fit

those C clips on the center shaft are a pain and one was out of the bag due to a split in the bag(first time out of a lot of kits)

ball diffs didnt want to screw together, got it go work but would be a concern for younger builders

have to chop up a servo
and thats just from the first page......

but on a happier note....

i dont know what all the coments from the chassis been too flexy, could be from ppl to used to 3mm carbon

and i couldnt get the shock towers to bend at all

i tell you all this thing better be a dream on the track!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention... those suspension blocks go with 0 degree rear hubs. Not the 1 degree hubs. It's also for LW suspension as well.......

It's basically giving you 2degrees front sweep. And 2.5 degrees rear toe.

Mine is on the way soon I hope. Gonna be my official TCS car. I hope they come out with a spool or.. should I say.. direct coupling for it!
Is that setup with the LW suspension arms or the kit items?

Okay, just finish putting everything together. As usual, a great Tamiya kit to build. I noticed on some of the parts tree such as the suspension arms were made in 2002. Hmm....

Overall the assembly process went without a hitch, but somethings that bug me were the phillip screws (I want hex screws! ), and probably the worst offender was having to chop off a piece of my servo's side mounts in order to install it on there. For those who runs digital servos or any other expensive servos, make sure you're not planning to use it on other cars in the near future! I still need to get an ESC for it, then I'll test drive it and see how it stacks up to my old TA-04 Pro.

However...first, please test for drivetrain drag by removing the pinion, setting all 4 wheels on the ground and gently push the car. If you feel any resistance to roll, then the wheels are fighting each other due to the dis-simlar drive ratios.
I already change my rear diff back to TRF415's 35T pulley, same ratio front and rear. And I'm not going to risk the possibility of ruin my TA05 (hell if I brake something other than suspension, I need airlift parts from JP, no man.. I won't let that happen...)

I was driving TRF415 with fixed center pulley and spool, good for my driving style.

Batista: "Are you talking to me?"

Ya I was running with TRF415 3mm chassis, double 2F deck, super solid, no flex AT ALL. So the "not flex" standard from me might be too hard for most chassis.

The shock tower, however, is surly flex in any standard. You need to mount everything on before trying. Try to hold the chassis and push the suspension all the way up, you will see the tower flex upward.

Good thing for me: my TechRacing carbon fiber parts are due tomorrow.. muhahahahahaha...

Default Temporal setting sheet for TA05

Temporal setting sheet for TA05, check the attachment.

I know I know, the chassis image still in TRF415 look. But that's a work too complex I can't hand draw with. Wait TAMIYA version if you don't like it than...

edit: just found a small bug, updated.
