I would say stick with the Orion packs. They're the best in the business right now and Orion FULLY backs them with customer service.

The only choice to really make is, 4800(you'll need to flaten out the risers in the TA05 battery tray to get the pack to sit low) -or- 3200(drops right into the battery tray and sits low)

Anyone have an extra plastic Part Tree "A"..

I'm specifically looking for part labeled A10. The little plastic thing that the locknut goes into for the diffs. Building my TA05R last night and that tiny piece went into the abyss!!

Might sounds stupid but is the 105T spur that comes with the 05R 64P or that weird Tamiya pitch?

I asked the same thing a few pages back. It is definitely 64 pitch "compatible". I am using Robinson Racing 64p Pinions. However, you can also buy Tamiya specific pinions that are "04 module" series.

Tamiya also has 06 module series pinions that are 48 pitch... I think.... go figure!

06 module is most definitely NOT 48 pitch. 0.6mm pitch equates to something like 42.33 dp.

Tamiyas 04 module and 64dp are very close.

HI tucker101 you can get a ta05 from ebay for $200 delivered, you can get a ta05-r from rcmart.com for around $290 but with the ta05-r you will need to get a body.Sorry dont know about the T2 but i think its close in price to the 05-r.All in aust dollars.

Nexus,

The 105 spur is the 04 module and can be used with 64 pitch pinions, I have use the Tamiya 04 spurs for years with robinson 64 pitch pinions with no issues. the 06 module spurs look like 48 pitch but it is actually a metric 48 pitch and you have to use the Tamiya 06 pinions or you can use the Robinson metric 48 pitch pinions which I think hold up better than the Tamiya metric 48 pitch (06 module) pinions. I use the Robinson metric 48's in my Mini, Matthew's TT01, and both our TL01 Rally cars.

You can get it cheaper than that. You can get the TA05R for $200 including shipping from http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/ (you have to contact them via e-mail)

If you'd rather buy direct from a website you can get it here for $210 including shipping: http://shopping.rcmodel.hk/product_i...ducts_id=10249

You can also get a Hot Bodies Cyclone for $250 + shipping at stormer: https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...0&showbig=6809
