I'll check and report back. I am not sure, and guess I have a 50/50 chance of being correct . I built (and rebuilt) the diffs looking at the manual, which doesn't seem to make mention of this

OscarF1, I'll try some o-rings. I like the idea of o-rings as the foam plugs got compressed fairly quickly. I take it the voilent hopping isn't a good thing? Perhaps I'll dial back EPA for now.

The manuall keeps the diff halves in the same orientation, and you should also be able to work out which is the longer and which is the shorter diff outdrive.

Thanks guys!

Hi,

The part number for the spring set is 53440.

A good starting point is yellow rear and blue front.

Regards,

Sarah

assuming you have ZERO degree rear hubs....
(every change in letter is 0.5 degree in toe). so....

XC - XB - XA - X - A = equals 2 degrees of rear toe in.

the above explanation is great.. but two small mistakes/typos

A front and A rear = 0 degree toe in
change now to
A front and B rear = 0.5 degree toe in
A front and C rear = 1.0 degree toe in
XA front and A rear = 1.0 degree toe in and slightly narrower track.
overall.. having the standard TA05 original suspension, the rear hubs i believe have 2 degrees of rear toe in. (someone correct me if im wrong, i havent used the old suspension in awhile )

Hebiki:

Hi,

I need some help in finding the bearings that go in the diffs for my TA-05. seems they are the same size as the ones for my EvO V so being in a rush to run it I took them out of my TA-05 to buld a front diff for my EVO V not knowing they would be hard to find where I live.....

Thanks in advance

Tim

8mm x 5 mm bearings are very common.

I was referring to the orientation of the thrust bearing, not the outdrives

Tim,
I might have some of those bearings in my bin o' Tamiya parts. I'll check tonight and bring them with me to the track this weekend if I still have them, and hopefully my finished car. Thanks for the setup help this past weekend as well.
