There have been a good number of people that have said that their carbon tub has been tweaked.

I didn't noticed any on mine when I put it on my glass setup board prior to assembling, but there seems to have been some issues with some chassis.

A gearing question:

I'm assembling my TA05 this week and have already purchased a 104t 64p spur.
I'll be running 58mm trued foams on Ozite in stock with an Epic Binary motor.
The track is 80'x44' and is generally technical.

What pinion range would you guys suggest?

Thx for the info, I plan to change with FUT 9550 servo since it's shorter than std. Hope I have more space for the rcvr.

Also, I see there are not many option for spur... before it comes out of the bottom spur hole on the lower deck... What the max. spur for either 48P or 64P ?
9550 is the right choice for this car, it will give you a lot more space for your rx311, i used that before i switched to KO

I hear that KO is supposed to be releasing a servo similar in size as the s9550, but with higher output (faster/more torque)..

Fred may I see you electronic layout on the chassis. My receiver seems too big to fit on the chassis, unless I put it on top of the servo. Sanwa RX-311.

Thx for the pics.
I use the KO 297 receiver, snug fit, and the KO 302 is perfect, but thats on my Xray It will get that for our TCS regional in April.

I was planning to run 19t foam on carpet, really stiffens the chassis up, got rid of the cross flex. Push down on your belts to see how much the front and rear ends lift, took that out also. Project stalled when I got an Xray FK05, so it will be put back to TCS legal for asphalt thought I wish I could use them for GT1.

If the binary is the RPM version then you will want to gear in between 7.0-8.0 final ratio. Which would be 29 to 34 pinions.

Izzy's impression ===> (but then that darn pinion coming loose is to blame)
Ian's impression ===> (still using the plastic one)

But I'll still get the new chassis... soon! It is stiff...

Ian was lucky I was not concentrating on my 05 or for that matter... any of my cars. I got so involved in rebuilding my 04 that took all my energy out.
One thing I like was the Battery tape slot on the new chassis. That was it.

Anybody knows what compound or type are rubbers that came with the kit? I got the Supra Esso, not sure if it's the same for earlier batch.

Thanks.

Just cheap kit style tires...not Type As or anything.
