Jam-ehz

Smack me up side the head with a TC4

You are right the standard kit has 2 degrees of rear toe.

I have the light weight suspension on my car with the 1 degree rear blocks. And I'm not really sure if that suspension is an advantage on carget with rubber tires.

This maybe a dumb question but, is it possible to make the TA05 into a rally car?

This wouldn't be my first option for that. It has a lot of open drive line components that wouldn't do too well in a rally setting.

Just got my ta05. I just got past putting the diffs and center pulley in. With everything bolted, I stuck the dogbones in to spin the drivetrain to see how smooth everything felt. I noticed that the belts move left to right between the pulleys, and occasionally rub and make a sound. Is this normal? It's my first belt drive car, and i don't know what to expect. Thanks for any help.

hey there... looks like your using the stock belts that came with the car. if you use the aramid (hop-up) belts.. when you spin the drivetrain.. you'll notice it stays in place.

Key500/andre - dont have a digital camera with me. what'd you need to look at?

I guess you could say just being nosey, also I forgot to ask I plan on going to
Tamiya Sat. what's the gear ratio for a stock motor? Right now I just have what came with the kit. And can you tell me what's a good gear ratio for 19 turn.
I just hope it doesn't rain sat. I haven't had a chance to run my car yet..

Thanks;
Andre

Default Tamiya Toy Fair 11-19,20

so I have not seen any speculation regarding the possibilty of new releases at the Tamiya Toy Fair next week? Anyone want to lay odds that we might see a different version of the TA05 or ??? announced.

Let the rumors start

If you can, mount the tyres on Inch-Up rims with firm inserts.
This is a good base setup and is somewhat close to my setup too.
Remember that setup is only a guidline and will need to be tailored to each person's driving style, track conditions and class entered in.

Good luck everyone...
