Anyone tried the 2.5mm chassis out yet? Any thoughts?

Also i havent been overwhelmed by the out of the box suspension when compared to my other cars. Any upgrades or tweaks recommended? The long kashima's were a great upgrade on the ae - does xray have anything similar?

i have seen the new 2.5 chassis.. looks nice.. the guy using it.. said it was good.. i personally think the stock chassis will be fine.. so you can adjust flex with the braces..

not certain what you mean out of the box suspension.. kashima coated shocks from AE.. basically is a hard coated shock.. but.. with a fancy name on it..

i will say the machined pistons are nice.. wish Xray would go to the machined pistons away from tree pistons..

other than that.. the updated lower bushings help in life of the shock.. as well as smoothness.. very easy to build.. and mine stay smooth for very long time..

Apologies i should have been more specific.when i went to the kashima shocks i also replaced all internals with the machined parts. That combined with longer rear shock body mnade a noticable difference to the smoothness of the shock. I was hoping xray had a similar 'upgrade'

I understand. No. No upgrade option. The only thing I wish we had was machine pistons. We do have longer shock ends for more droop.. but that's about it. Our shock shafts are same length as AE btw. In front and rear.

If you wanted you could try the AE on the car. See if you notice an improvement in performance. I tried AE pistons. But didn't don't think they fit correctly in the shock bodies. Car didn't work as good. But that was only a piston and shaft change..

The Xray shock feel great only change I did to mine was buying the Avid machined pistons for them.

What AE shock shafts did you use? I dislike e clips and would like to use the AE V2 shafts if u can.

AE shafts are same length as xray shafts. U can use the threaded if you want. I used the eclip ones. This was when I ran the 16... I don't use them anymore

I tried the AE shafts as well and didnt like the side to side movement with them. They may not be the same diameter, Never checked and went back to xray.
