The Kyosho bb's have both short and long tops and bottom eyelets, with both the tall top and the long eyelet these are the approximate measurements. No bump stops or limiters.Also one tiny thing, the xray upper mount bolt that is shouldered is fat so the Kyosho ends fit way tight.
Kyosho Xray
compressed length eye to eye 57mm 54mm
extended length eye to eye 76 76
shock travel 19 22
It looks close on the car and I am a big Kyosho big bore fan and as was dissappointed in the Xray shocks during the build, but I was impressed by their performance. The shafts seemed leaky loose when I built them but after running they were no leaks at the shaft and only a tiny bit on one cap.
I'm gonna keep running the Xray shocks.
fwiw The only other issue I had during the initial run was a tiny bit of a leak from the front left diff/bearing.

I see your using a airtronisc receiver.. Are you using the MT4? Is anyone else using the MT4? Im trying to get people interested in a drop down for the radio, about 200 cheaper than the M12.

I just picked up my XB4 the other day and have it all built. What should I be keeping on hand for spares? Haven't had time to run it but can't wait. Will be reading back thru some of this thread to see what I should watch for and all that. Thank you in advance.

2nd play session tonight, 2 packs, buncha minor crashes, a couple major league high speed tumbles (damn hole) and slams including an end of the straight away head on with a dead stadium truck, someone in the crowd gasped, another said "did you hear that?"...... Nothing wrong.
Ran the shit out of it a bunch more.
The front shock tower has a small delam at the top, the two little leaks are still little, other than that it's been bomber. And it drives like a dream.

just came back from my first run with the XB4
I used the Martin Bayer Setup for carpet, running Schumacher Minipin.
I´m really impressed. Car has lots of steering, jumps very well and it´s aceleration is second to none.
I ran Durango and Kyosho on the same track before so I can compare.
I had some very bad "highsiders" and 2 really hard impacts but nothing broke.
Same to the drivetrain - nothing shimmed, everything stock. No Problems - and there is never more grip than on carpet with Schumacher Mini pins.
Martin told me, that the problems with the diffgears appear when you use too much oil in the diffs.
I filled the diffs with the HUDY scale, exactly like the manual says - no problems - super smooth and free drivetrain.
This car is a blast!

Just finished the build, a little p o'ed though my chassis was milled on the wrong side. The recessed areas for crown gears is on the bottom. I was able to finish the build, but now have to go through the trouble of getting a replacement. If anyone wants pics let me know I will post some.
