I wondered the same earlier - hard to say from the photo angle. Looks like the motor is still on the right side, so doubtful there is a shorty option. 'But' why the bulge in the body? That area is where the ESC an would normally be...perhaps there is a shorty option, and the motor swaps sides and faces the other direction like other brands - but the centre diff is slightly offf set to accomodate shorty on the left then requiring that bulge in the body for the spur? Now thats some keyboard speculation!

What I did notice today, the outside gear diffs we currently have is about the same length as the center slipper setup. Bearings mounts are different, but if I could get a spur gear instead of this ring gear, it would be in already.

A bit of a disappointing day. A year ago today Xray announced the 2014 spec XB4. No updates as yet. Then again, their website still lists the NT1 '14 spec as *new*, LOL. It'll probably be announced on FB - sometime soon I hope.
Nice conversion Macro.
Yes, looking at some of the older photos of Savoya's buggy from EOS, I'd say the diff case housing the "spider gears" looked similar in shape and size to the one used in the front/rear diff housings, but Bentka said the internal gears were actually smaller, so...not sure what Xray has up their sleeve for the '15 centre diff or how it'll look in production form. Curious if a HB or AE centre diff spur gear would fit.

Hey guys I'm new to the XB4. Picked up a 2014 XB4 (2nd hand) at the track last night and it seems awesome! What type of spares do I need to keep on hand? Are there an issue with any parts breaking more than others? I read that the car is a tank. Just thinking of what I might need to support it.

Set up help - New to XB4
Hay guys,
Just raced my XB4 for the first time on a very small tight clay track. Im looking for some setup help, buggy was very loose. And to fast lol even turned down.
Currently I run a LRP 6.5 turn and I think im going to run a 8.5 -9.5 turn for this track and keep the 6.5 for out door? any suggestions on this idea. buggy is really fast for this track.
Any setup help for this type of track too? Thanks for all the input help ..
Love the buggy just need to dial it in.

Thanks for the reply, I ordered slipper pads, diff bevel and crown gears and a spare suspension part of each type, front arms, C hubs, etc. I figure I would hate to end the entire day over one of those.. My LHS at the track does not stock Xray.
How is everyone setting their slipper?
