I just tested 12mm hexes on my XB4.
12mm hexes from my lazer zx5 SP2 was a nice fit on the XB4, but I had to use the pins from the kyosho also. The ones on the XB4 is a bit longer.
Other than that, no problem

How did the main outer gears turn out? Are they fine?

Awesome, just the answer I was looking for! Like someone else mentioned, is the offset the same with the Xray wheels? If so, the XB4 is looking more appealing to me.
Curious to hear more about the gears though. I'm a bit shocked to hear the internal gears are plastic.

I run on a carpet track with a lot of grip, no shims in the diff.
The outer gears looks fine.
All the gears in the diff are plastic, however the nt1 internal gears ars supposed to be a direct fit
Partnr 335030 gears
Partnr 335080 pin
Got that on order, so i think that it will work fine then..
Did run the durango on the same track with the same motor 5.5t, so this should not be a problem imo...
