Basically just 2mm & 1.5mm hex drivers and 5.5mm nut driver will do the work

That sucks. The part number is the same as the xray t3/t4 gear diff, so you should be able to find replacements easy enough.

I just tested 12mm hexes on my XB4.

12mm hexes from my lazer zx5 SP2 was a nice fit on the XB4, but I had to use the pins from the kyosho also. The ones on the XB4 is a bit longer.

Other than that, no problem

Thanks Olec for the Kyosho wheel tip, got plenty of those. Ran my ZX a bit last night, I don't think I'm gonna miss it.

He's got a video about five pages back or so. Carpet track with like a 5.5 motor. Wondering if the diff was shimmed or box stock.

Are the offsets the same on the wheels?

Thanks,
Rocky

Are those the stock plastic bevels and satellite years, they look shiny.

How did the main outer gears turn out? Are they fine?

Got the email saying mine has been shipped!
Can't wait to hit the track with it.
Hoping I can fit DEX410 spurs to it so I can run in the stock shootout with it in January.

Awesome, just the answer I was looking for! Like someone else mentioned, is the offset the same with the Xray wheels? If so, the XB4 is looking more appealing to me.

Curious to hear more about the gears though. I'm a bit shocked to hear the internal gears are plastic.

I run on a carpet track with a lot of grip, no shims in the diff.
The outer gears looks fine.
All the gears in the diff are plastic, however the nt1 internal gears ars supposed to be a direct fit

Partnr 335030 gears
Partnr 335080 pin

Got that on order, so i think that it will work fine then..

Did run the durango on the same track with the same motor 5.5t, so this should not be a problem imo...
