ok, now that ive opened the blown gens ace, there isnt anything special inside the pack to prevent reverse polarity. i think what happened is it just instantly melted a little dab of solder used to bridge the battery to board connection and the bullet. so maybe someone designed it like that, or it was just a fluke..

i would still recommend the gens ace packs for the money though. and they always go on sale for under $30 so good value, even if you have to replace them once or twice ha.

getting a couple of those nano techs there to try, though a little nervous about taking them to a organized race as they arent approved.. but we will see. got one gens ace still alive.

Hmm seems like they are.. well some are anyways. Just make sure the ones you get have the ROAR approved stickers.. My Turnigy Nano-Tech 5.8 5800 30C is on the list, but I got mine way before they even submitted for approval, so no sticker on mine

I really dont care about roar. There is only one event close to me that might care. Just want hard case more than anything. I really just want the turnigys to save my roar batteries during regular season.

ok so I have decided to go with the 5000mah 50c.

http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-50c-50...case-2222.html

The dimensions are :
Pack Size: 138.50 * 46.0* 25mm (L * W * H)

but my question is, will the battery fit in the battery slot on the 6.1 ?

Thanks.

I use that same exact battery on my TC6.1 so yes it will fit great. I didnt try it with a velcro strap. I use tape, but I think a strap would fit ok.

And for the record +1 on the Gens Ace batteries. I've tried them and they are great for racing.
