- ECS shafts (DCJs) will eliminate chatter at large steering angles. If you are an accomplished racer, you'll want ECSs. They are pretty strong if you build them right, but I wouldn't recommend them to newer racers who hit a lot of boards still.
- Upper bumper brace - Either the XRAY one, the one from Diggity Designs or mount a second upper bumper holder upside down on top of the other one, so that the bumper is braced against the front bulkheads.

Start with the basic kit setup and adjust from there if needed. The track layout, the grip levels and your preferred style of driving will determine setup.
The stock belts are fine. Belt tension is far greater a factor in drivetrain resistance than the material that the belts are made of.

Another diff to run in the front (1M-2.5MCST), 2.5 and 2.7 springs, and upgraded hudy out drives for the diffs. Can't go wrong with some extra arms and belts.

I couldn't run the stock setup, way too much under steer, it was like driving a dump truck. Although, i do prefer to have a car with a lot of steering and very aggressive. I looked at Paul's setup for the Nationals: http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...D=367&setup=t4

and then made my changes based on the needs of the car and my driving style:
http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...D=440&setup=t4

the big change for me was moving the rear arms forward (swapping the 1mm and 2mm shim on the arm).

For 17.5, start with the stock setup, and change to 2.5 rear springs, shorten the rear wheelbase by 1mm, and use the middle camber link position front and rear and you should be golden. Adjust camber and other variables to suit the layout and surface you're on.

Low friction belts will only really help if you're either close to top speed most of the lap, or accelerating from almost a dead stop quite a lot.

The new xray ones seem to be different material compared to the original ones, no more hairs flying out of belts.

In case you have trouble finding the XRAY ones in stock, TOP Photon rear belts also fit the T4 and they make a white, low friction version. Only the rears are the same size though.
