i use an associated fan on my xray t1r, im not sure if it helps any though, but it looks kool. theres no need for a small battery pack if your receiver has a third channel, just plug it in. it draws very little current as well, and ive never noticed a change in run time or speed. hope this helps.

Run the wires on the fan to the power and negative on the speed control. It will turn on when you turn on the car, just like when you plug in to the 3rd channel.

Here is a link to the Trinity fan at Tower. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJKA9&P=7
I wouldn't recommend the Associated one. I have one on my Pro4 and it falls off any time you get bumped.

Use an ordinary 5 volt fan off a computer. Just as good if not better and 1/10th of the price.
Wire it to the RED (positive) and BLACK (negative) leads from your speedo - the ones that go to the battery.
Here's a pic to show how I've done it on our TC4. I had the same arrangement on the TC3, and run the same arrangement again on my own Yoke and a dozen customer cars.
It works well.

I only have a 2 channel receiver in my car too
if you are just looking for the fan itself, check out the shopper section on HobbyTalk.com...he's got the fans by themselves for like $4 plus shipping...same exact fan as what trinity and AE uses - only difference, you have to mount it yourself
