break in like mike said on the ninja thread
only run 16 or 20% nitro
only us ninja plugs (if possible)
ninja stock pipe or novarossi 52607 pipe works best
for 16 or 20% nitro run the motor how it came the extra shim that came with the motor you add if you run 30 but if you want to run 25%nitro only run that shim and take the one thats in the motor out.
stock shim is .10 and the extra one is .15.
seal the carb neck with racer's choice air seal and then clamp the carb in.
dont take the motor apart to clean, just run and add after run oil at the end of the day when you get home and take the motor out of your car.
take the air filter off (and throw it away)put the black caps on the outlets and brush the motor clean.put new air filter on.

hey guys, im in need of an engine to put into my mtx-4. i was looking at an 18 tz but from what ive heard its way too much power for a tc. im gonna be doing alot of parking lot races and ill be visiting my local track alot also. so i was looking at either the picco red dot or the 12tz. which one do you think would be the easiest to tune and stuff?

The OS .18TZ is illegal and you need to gear the car with a tall gear ratio option to make use of the power. Show up at the track with it and don't expect to give others a run for a money. A good driver with a .12 will easy keep up and or pass you if your skills are as good as his. The TZ is a nice motor, but for an even cheaper price comes the Ofna RED Dot. The motor ALSO has much more power than the TZ and will easily smoke it top end wise. The OS has good torque which makes it nice on most tracks. I use the Carlsen TZ in my MTX4, but I also drilled out the clutch shoe weights to 3.5mm, MSR spring and mugen yellow clutch shoe. It runs better with this setup and tuning isn't hard. Swapping back to 20% instead of 30% to ensure a longer lifespan for my motor and the motor is still fast. I easily keep up with the Ninja .12 until 3/4s way down the back stretch of my track. Otherwise I will stay and or pass it all day on the infield and down most of the straight.

BTW both OS and Ofna motor will be really easy to tune.

Sure do Enti!

Just a quick job, but as you can see it fits fine!
Just run the wide bottom bumper with the standard top bumper plate and see if you can get the short 1/8th style aluminium front body posts and you are set!
These pics were with the standard body posts still on the car!

This is what did for lola body & bumper. Click the attachment.

LEFT is MTX4, RIGHT is NT1

Note: I don't use front body clips to hold up the body shell, instead I let the body shell sit on top of foam bumper. You need to cut the foam bumper at some angle to match the nose of lola body.
