What is the Best and Lightest Brake Disk?
Been running the super thick mugen one from the mtx-4R, but it is soo heavy. I am hoping to go lighter to help spool up a little but with one that works better than the thin original mugen mtx-4 one...

i use the g4s brake disk, its is wider than the mugen stock one and
weights less than two stock ones works ok with telfon brake pads
i suppose the k factory is better but costs more
the brake pulley one way should be used only with the one way/one way solid on front, it will provide only rear brakes but higher life for the front and side belt and less wear on the rears
with diff or solid on front with the brake pulley one way, you get all braking but there's no worth using it
happy racing

Are u guys still using silicone tube on the brake servo section ? ..... I mean the silicone tube which soften the initial braking effect ?
Try without that, it's more consistent feeling, it's 0 or 1 feeling.... nothing in between. BTW, don't forget to adjust your brake epa to match your liking, and shorten the brake metal wire.

interesting stuff on brakes!
Can I learn some more on brakes?
The manual says something about adjusting the spring on the throttle side of the servo arm for initial brakes??????
Please explain what the servo arm settings do for braking.
Thanks guys!

Sorry I don't have any photos now but if you look for some of my posts on the MTX-3 thread you surely will see what I'm telling.
Regarding the brake disk... I only could say three words: Enneti vented disk. Made from billet, vented, very durable and nice. Look for some photos on the MTX-3 thread too. Removed from it and slapped it on the MTX-4 during the initial build up. All my Mugen cars have their own since the initial build.
+10000 on the teflon brake pads, makes wonders with the braking action.

Yep... I do it with all mine cars, put a 2-3 centimeter long of fuel tube and I make some cuts along it to soften it a little more.

Is it aluminum?

Nope, just plain and nice machined stainless steel (sorry, don't know the grade... ).
ASW: Yep... those disks made a frenzy on the MTX-3 thread and got flooded with people asking for one disk... remember that bought 10's of disks and sent them around the world. The guys on the LHS asked me what I was doing with the disks... LOL!.
