Oh, my mtx4 (299.40€) is now ok!

By now, i have at home:
-Mtx4 builted saturday afternoon
-sirio evo3 3port
-sirio WC exhaust

And i have to decide between a sanwa m11 and futaba 3pm radio! (i know these are 2 really different radios..)!
Oh..do you think that the spectrum data transission sistem is good?

Thanks, bye!
9451 Futaba for steering
9550 Futaba for throttle

Get the M11 or KO EX-10

I've switched to Spektrum and it's great!! No glitches, no problems.

you will get mixed opinion regarding the spektrum because the first released batch of them had a lot of problems. i myself was one of the victims. but i sent it back to them and they replaced it for free. now, i have 3 of them and there's no way i'm going back. no more changing crystals, or waiting for your turn to practice especially on a big race, no more being worried about someone turning on the same frequency.....
I'm 100 percent with Jo. Narrow band transmitters with crystals are just an accident waiting to happen. I've used the Spektrum for months. NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM!

The problem Jo refers to may be the faulty button problem where you weren't able to sync transmitter and receiver because the program button didn't work. Those problems are now fixed. For 1/10th I'd say hybrid (i.e. Futaba/Sanwa/Ko Propo + Spektrum) systems are best. For 1/8th, go pure Spektrum or Nomadio. These systems are pure digital. Hybrids are analogue/digital and can be a tiny bit slow for 1/8th.

The faster crystals die off the better. Driving around a carbon, composite, aluminium, titanium race car with a radio technology developed in the 1930s and 40s doesn't seem like a wise idea.

Anyone else install the fromt titanium layshaft from the MTX3 Prospec on their MTX4? I installed it and it seems to fit pretty well, just needs shimming a little.

Any problems found with it?

The mrx-4 has a lot of steering. I had these a month ago. And somebody set up "AL" 1 degree out, And after my tire and caster swap, I was cuttung through the turns carrying a lots of speed. What impresses me most about these car is watching body react to the suspension movements keeping downforce in the car. Its really cool.

On the track, The car is rigid and doesn't exhibit any tweaking after i crash hard, flying and somebody hit me too hehehe but it cool. The chassis is a very strong slab of aluminum and suffered only minor scratches lol on its bottom after im driving on Sun Vally Speedway course.
