V-ONE S Thread

Craig,
I would not be to confident of getting a replacement engine for my V-One-S or if available, at a resonable cost anymore. Hence the question.

Ever since my GS15R Died on me i haven't touched my V1S, but i ordered a .18 CV-RX and some other things to get it running... I just fixed my 2nd gear a couple weeks ago here's a pic...
Can someone suggest what WT oil i should get for my front & rear diff.(both are stock)? I use foam tires and just drive around with my friend in parking lots. Thanks!

tiNtiN,
I can only suggest a new baseplate, but thats easier said than done.
Keep me upto date on your progress, I may need your advice, based on the state of my engine (GS15R).
I use TakeOff tyres, CS-32 with medium insert over the summer at my club track, Lilydale in Melbourne, were good for me (I to am a learner, years in RC planes though), especially during January's heat.

unbolt the engine plate from the chassis
move engine forward so the gears mesh
mark the engine plate through the chassis
unmount the engine
drill the engine plate center of the marking 3mm
remount engine to plate
using 3mm machine screws and nylock nuts, bolt the engine plate to the chassis.
i did try threading the plate but found it would just become loose after 10mins, so i used machine screws and nylock nuts.
if there is not enough material to redrill you will need to make a new plate.

Hi guys,
I've just bought a Kyosho GXR 15 engine to replace my stock GS 15R engine.
I've got a 2 speed for my V one S that I want to fit to my new engine, but the parts won't fit?
Can anyone recommend what parts I need to fit my 2 speed to my new engine?
Or should I just take it down to my local hobby shop and get it checked out?
Cheers

Hey texasRanger,
Thanks for your reply,
a.t.m my tires are the stock racing slicks you get with your V one S
When I get a bit of cash together, I'm going to start to work on my ride a bit more, get a bit of style going.
By the way - What engine are you running? and what's your setup like?
Cheers,

As stated in previous posts:
My V-One-S setup that works well for me is:
F diff: 20000wt
F Camber: 1 ~ 2 Deg
F Caster: ~8 Deg
R diff: 5000wt
R Camber: 1 ~ 2 Deg.
R Toe in: 1 ~ 2 Deg
F & R shocks: 500 Summer, not selected a weight for winter(First winter driving)
Glow Plug: OS #8
Tyres: TakeOff Tyres, CS-32 summer, CS-27 or CS-24 in winter(Now)
Hope that helps - I am someone will point me in the right direction if there is a better setup to go with.

Blazin,
I have the two speed on my V-one S. But I still have the original GS15R that came with the car, so I am not exactly sure what the difference between the GX engine and the GS engine is.
I do know that the GX engine is out of a FW05 so it might be worth your while looking at the clutch/flywheel of a FW05 and fitting that to your car. You will probably have to be careful with the shims that fit between the engine and the flywheel and do a bit of trial and error until you come up with a combination of parts that fit nice.
