Default Eagle Shocks

Thanks for the reply. Most propably I will get them with my next pay check.

As for the dog bone, I used 2 cable ties to hold on to the bones on each sides.

1 tie to go round and pull just tight enough to prevent the bone from slipping off. The loose tail will go upwards through the upper swing arm and through the stopper of another tie. Ensure the stopper is big enough that will not slip through the upper arm.

If in times of crashing, the dog bone will be sercured by the cable ties. Hanging onto the upper arms.

Thanks for the tip of using MTX2 dogbones.

Default v-one-s

Firstly all engines and cars are different...I always run in quick and I do believe that if you break them in like a pussy on 5% nitro then thats what they will always run like.( I am experienced at running nitro engines in do not attemp this if you are a newbie).

The gs15r is ok but it has limitations, the best thing i can recomend is the Kyosho hop up head part#74901-bl as the gs15 is prone to overheating this dropped my running temp by about 50deg F.

Re sway bars, check what the other guys are doing at the track I
have never run a sway bar and have a seriously quick car. I race at two tracks, one very technical and one that sounds similar to yours.

Pipes once again depend on where your racing and if you are running by IFMAR type rules.....if your not CVEC or venom pipes are my choice.

On engine size if your allowed to run the 15 locally go for it, at my home club they have a 15class and a 12class so I dropped a Novarosssi cx15p in "it rocks".

74kph is not uncommon for these a 2 speed will give you more terminal speed and get you there quicker.

Default V-one-s Kawahara parts

Just found this on the Kawahara Italy Website, Most of the parts are the same as the v1r but there are some S specific parts that it would appear are kept from us lowly V-1-S owners. There is no reason why these can't be ordered in by your lhs via the importers.

Has anyone had the problem with the engine mount plate continually unscrewing it self and slipping back wards, i've had this twice now and both times i had heaps of locktite on.

But other then that no real problems, great straight line speed stock, just that the stock tyres are no good for racing, absolutely no grip.

Default Kawahara

Hi Squizzy

Can I have the link to the Kawahara website, please?

Kyosho is coming up with a front one way too. Costing abt US$24. But the stated release date kept being postponed to a later date. Now it is said to be due in late Sept according to TowerHobbies.

Talking thats better......some action

Firstly Vifer www.j-net-c.com/kawahara/ youve been quiet!

v-one s;

ive never had the problem however I replace these screws on a regular basis, I buy mine in a packet of 100 from Dick Smith electronics but any computer orientated place should have them.
They are 3mm x 6mm but you can easily go to about 8mm long.

Are you racing? If so try some of the tyres from sorex or take-off.
my wife races and I used to put the standard tyres on and I found that if you run a bit of toe on the car around 2deg front and rear out-front in-rear it helps them heat up and allthough not brilliant thay seemed to be on par with other kit offerings...........but for myself (the financierof the sport) good tyres only, these days my wife gets my hand me down take-offs and sorex's ................yes I know im a miser.

See Ya

Thanks for the link.

Been busy with work and nothing much to contribute though, so I kept quiet. Just found out last night that my stock shock gave way...so got to buy the Eagle shocks before this weekend. Going for some roundings down at my "playground".

Hope you have fun with your new setup. I always want to get a front one way for my car. A bit tired to see my tyres doing wheel spin when I full throttle out of a corner.

Default It's raining!!!

Im back guys, i've been reading ur post. i dont have much to contribute, thats why ive been a silent reader erkkkk.

just wanna share some new experience...

it's raining last sunday (aug 11), just installed my 2speed for my v1s. yeah yeah i know my 2speed is kinda late......nway....the track is wet and slippery, tuning my 2speed is really very hard. hitting the brakes at the end of the straight tend my car to slip out of the track.....huh. its been a hard day....but enjoy! cant wait for next week to fine tune my 2 speed and adjust my current setup for better handling since dis 2 speed will really give more power!!!

BTW: don't know what tires and inserts to use when the track is wet and slippery. does anyone know? im always using Sorex 40R with Sorex Hard Inserts.

FYI: jerry (i dont know his fullname...theres a lot of people named jerry and mike in the track ) is starting a V-ONE club....guys join the club.....its good.......me and aaron haven't decided yet.....hehehehe....c u all next SUNDAY!!!

Aaron: Thanks for helping me out with my 2speed!!! First time is always hard!

Talking tyres

Hows goin Rhandee,
From memory your v-1-s is pretty standard in the suspension dept?
Try a tyre on the rear 1 step softer than the front. I use sorex 32
on the front and 28 on the rear. This will stop oversteer (to some degree) I've also used Take-off cs27s all round and had good luck but every car is different. Let me know what springs shocks and fluids your running.

Default wet tyres

Wow....call me boring I wouldnt run in the wet, I once saw a guy do it and the clutch locked up and did a runaway...not pretty.
However if you must , try something with some tread.
Medial Pro are getting some good reports and V-Rage by proline ive heard are pretty good.
