NY/NJ/CT area tracks
I currently race at the following tracks:
Willis Hobbies- Mineola, NY: Fairly small indoor carpet track, 1/12 scale and touring cars. Racing Friday nights and Sundays. Also run an outdoor series in the summer for Electric and Nitro TC's and Serpent Impact type cars.

R/C Madness- Enfield, CT: Good size indoor carpet track, touring cars, 1/12, possibly others. Huge newly paved outdoor asphalt track, big outdoor dirt track. Check with them for race times.

American Raceway- Englishtown, NJ: Permanent outdoor dirt and onroad tracks, this is probably my favorite place to race. Tuesday and Saturday night asphalt racing under the lights, stock and mod touring, and 1/12 stock if enough entries. Small indoor carpet track for the winter season.

Bruckner Hobbies- Bronx, NY: Indoor carpet season about to start, carpet racing in a school gymnasium. I haven't raced here yet, but the season opener is in a week or so. Looking forward to some carpet racing here.

Just raced this past Sunday (10-28) at Bruckner's indoor site. THe track is set up in a school gymnasium, it's a fairly large smooth Ozite track, this week's layout was a VERY nicely done road course, good flow and rythm.
WE ran 2 heats of Mod TC's, and a heat each of stock TC and Mod 1/12.
I was VERY impressed. I'd heard some negative comments about racing here, but I had a GREAT time and it appeared that everyone else did as well.
Check out http://www.brucknerhobbies.com for details.

Of the 4 tracks listed in the first post, only one (RC Madness) is still around. In fact, two more tracks have opened and closed since that post.
And I think Mike Mal just set the record for resurrecting the longest dead thread on RC Tech! Dude, eight years??? What's up with that?
Mike Mal is a Cylon!!!

Yea its city owed. Ppl run every type of offroad there. Nitro or gas. Im not sure if bless is still trying to get a permit but ppl still race there and have been for years now. check out the site he has ( http://index.rcnyc.net-a.googlepages.com/home ). im hopeing we get something so nyc can have a real offroad track.
The park is called Fort Knox park and people have been running rc cars there for 30 years. The city is in the process of redesigning Shoe Lace & Fort Knox parks and our goal is to get the city to approve our plans for an official track at Kort Knox. Our plans for the track are at rcnyc.net.
The Bronx River Alliance and the Park Designer/Architect currently have an online survey at shoelacepark.bronxriver.org . If you live in or visit the area and would like to see an official rc track as part of the design for Shoe Lace & Fort Knox parks, please express this in questions 10 & 11 of the survey.
