The thing is, I have a whole bunch of drive shafts that obviously need to connect to that...

Are there any other parts out there that I can use that would fit in place of the 75188?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
This Tamiya part fits. I tested it with a HB driveshaft from my cyclone TC.

Default Tamiya DCJ

I've just fit the Tamiya DCJ 42216 at the front of my TCXX and they seem silky smooth on full lock.

I've not used any DCJ before but the quality of these seem brilliant. I've used the long POM outdrives with 2mm slots and had to dremel the edges of the caster block slightly as indictated in an earlier post.

Hoping to test this weekend but initial impressions are very positive.

How about a part number and more importantly, an ETA.

I just hope that its not crazily priced. and that you can get parts available separately. I already got spec-r's lower shock towers, but the big bore shocks and shorter shafts might be nice

The new towers are lower than the -2 towers just by looking at the pics

hmmm...I wonder if the whole shock tower is lower profile, but the holes line up in the -2mm range?

Ever get a chance to weigh that stock chassis? They have changed the weight limit in the class I wanted top use the aluminum chassis for so the car would be too heavy with it. The Graphite version I ordered by mistake weighs 70gr on my scales. If its about the same weight as the stock chassis I may use it because its thinner and all the components would be about 1/4mm lower than the stock chassis so I would have a lower CG.

i have a dumb question.. what the gain when you change pistons from a 3-hole version to, say for example, the 6-hole pistons?? I believe the 6-holes were better recommended for asphalt racing, but my memory sucks

In general, more responsive. Less latency. It allows fluid to pass through at a quicker rate so shock damping is less "effective" with more holes. You could do one of two things. Fewer holes in the piston, or thicker fluid-to achieve a less "responsive" action from the shock.

Good luck.
I can confirm, this part fits. Actually, it seems to fit better than the original part. The pin is slightly longer. So you don't have to worry about one side coming out of the universal axle.

THANKS for the tip!

Lots of good discussion on area (i.e., the number of holes) and the size of each hole on the Tune with Camber links thread on the off road forum. with the same flow area, lots of small holes tends to absorb small bumps but resist more sudden movements like tight corners.

just curious. Is the new upgrade kit beneficial for outdoor or indoor tracks. ie lower shock towers and smaller shocks.
