far as I know. that the Yokomo BD7 is a great car..yes some people break more than others...I think the TC6.1 is a good car and they break as well... that something you need to get the car stable and ppractice more with the car..
Amain Hobby will be carry the Yokomo kits and parts ..s/b done by the end of this month of Nov.

If you need the durability of a T4, then get a T4. Nobody can match XRay in that department. The BD7 seems to be a lot like a Tamiya. Put a good bumper on it with any c-hub but graphite and you'll be alright.

As much as it pains me to say so.....A hard wide bumper up front fixes most durability issues as well as cutting down the axle

Carpet or asphalt? I personally think the 417 is garbage on carpet. I've got a nearly new X I need to sell, come to think of it.

So far, the BD7 feels like a car with a ton of rear grip and good steering. I really like its balance, but I need more time and more tracks to form a real opinion. Durability is subjective, since every track and its barriers are different.

On my current layout every car is breaking something. My bd7 is holding up better than some t4s.

my problem was I was putting on BD5 C-hubs which are weaker than the BD-7 c-hubs so thats why there were breaking.. That and I wasn't running a hard front bumper which was huge. I fixed those problems and its been great. As I am still learning to drive on carpet which means very aggressive and tight so my accidents are usually cutting corners to quick.

Btw I will say flipping the springs depending on grip is huge.

Thumbs up

syndr0me,

I have been using the Tamiya DCJ's with no issues. Perhaps I should check my knuckles tonight for rubbing but have not had any binding. I am very happy with the car using all plastic parts and HPI silver springs. I am using the Yokomo asphelt setup with screw removed from the top deck near the motor mount. I also removed the steering brace tbat attaches to the top deck. I am running 17.5 boosted with a FDR of 5.71

The car has more potential than the driver.

Later,

Calvin.

How many have broke. I know I broke a chub but that's it. And they seem to be pretty minor breaks. I guess you can count the few stripped spurs into that catagory.

I definitely need to try a hard bumper. Has anyone found one that is a direct fit?

I just used a blank and hacked it used my 3mm Allen to punch through based on my stock bumper. Then cut it to fit under my body.
