Default BD7 Rollbar setup

does anyone have a video link on how a rear and front roll bar should be setup and move when the set screws and uprights are correctly set

I seem to never get it correct and I'm sure this is affecting the changing direction

Sadly i cannot recommend the t-works pss . Quality was ordinary, 2 were not machined correctly and will need to be replaced, but i tried to build 2 that were good and even with 650 weight oil there was still no where near enough dampening at the top of the stroke compared to the 400 oil and kit pistons. Oh well.. ill contact them on monday about the quality issues, but its nearly like they didnt actually try them in a car beforehand to get the dampening right.

I wonder if anyone else has got them to work yet ???

There are a series of Jilles Groskamp tutorials on the YouTube you may find useful

Hi guys struggling to find a mounting spot on my bd7 16 for the power caps? Looked at loads pics can't see where they are best being mounted. I am running an orca vx3 speedo and have the 20g centre weight on my car. Is upside down on the top deck good or better attached to the side of the speedo by double sided tape. Any help or pics appreciated thanks

Use either an LRP works team capacitor or Muchmore or similar; something smaller. The Orca capacitor is too bulky and I didn't notice a big difference between the the big Orca and smaller caps.

I shoe goo it to the inboard side of the speed control and set the height below the upper deck.

Reedy

LRP

Muchmore

I ran the SMJ towers with SLF II at our season opener yesterday. We had a great turnout, 3 heats of USGT. Anyways the 15 with conversion felt really good and I finished 3rd overall. If you own a 15 get the SLII on, such a drastic improvement. I believe the rug is CRC fastrak II, incredible high traction low fuzz surface.

My 16 ran decent, first time running it and it'll only get better with more runs into.

On another note if you're in Texas visit RSD Raceway in Houston and Raceway Banana in Richardson (Dallas).

I run the same ESC and I flipped the capacitor and put 3M double sided tape (which is a bit thick) to raise the height and stuck it towards the end of the center weight closer to the antenna post.

Doesn't hit the belt and stays put :-)

I have the stock Orca caps stuck on top of the 20g centre weight ;-)

I filled this out for a local and figured I would post it here too. The current iteration of my BD7 2016 setup for the new CRC carpet at 5280 Raceway:

Chris,
What is the overall weight of the car? Mine was at 1422 without any added weight.
I have a hobbywing v3.1 120a ESC, Savox, D4, and intellect 7800mah pack on the aluminum chassis. The Gravity tires and wheels are a bit heavy compared to the Team Powers. So being at 1422 with no weights and you added 70 grams kinda blows my mind.

My car weighs 1386g. KO Propo RSX2 Response (full size), KO Propo Rx, LRP Flow WT w/optional cap, Motiv motor, and Motiv 5000 battery.

I have Ti turnbuckles but all steel screws. Body is LW with four layers of paint and stickers.

Most of the weight is from the battery and motor. The Motiv stuff is crazy light.

I had to add 35 grams to meet the weight.
