Seeing as they have some parts listed separately I'd assume the conversion kit will include a chassis, sideguards, braces and the ZX6 shaft driveline parts and body.

Pretty much the Reds Workshop car. A couple guys at a local track have this and it's amazing on the turf.
I've witnessed this configuration at our local astroturf track, this setup is simply amazing on high grip — no doubt about it. Just generates so much grip and has similar driving characteristics of a 4WD buggy. Very, very impressive.

I cannot imagine this will be the sole RB6 replacement. From what I have read, for lower traction surfaces this configuration will not be optimal. If this is the case, Kyosho will split the 2016 2WD product line two ways. A high grip config and a lower grip config like Yokomo and X-Ray has done. I suspect, as I peer into my crystal ball, ALL the manufacturers will follow this trend. Place a bet anyone?

Could be and those cars are $350 for either version . Not $385 for a conversion .

Hello,
I am new on the forum, from france.
Got a rb6 (3 gear from Jason McClarrinon) but find difficult to put the lipo accross the chassis.
I was wondering if the sworkz 12 chassis (seems wider) fit a rb6.
Also was wondering if any one try the sworkz 12 3 gear laydown transmission on a rb6 but with the sworkz chassis.
I find also interesting in the fact that U can to put the rear shocks in front or rear of the shock tower
Thanks !

I agree that a two car line would be a wise choice for Kyosho, however I'm not sure the RB/RZ approach would be as easy to justify to the consumer as what Yokomo or Xray are doing. They seem to be essentially the same car with swappable differences. You could, if you like, optimally tune for the surface you're running on. The RB/RZ two car line won't really allow that. If they went the laydown/stand-up trans and a lightweight/stiff/flex tuned chassis route yes, but we're looking at two totally different animals. The chassis and drivetrains are no way compatible. My concern is that the RZ seems like a high-traction, modified specific car. Not sure it would be competitive in the 17.5 stock class.

As bad ass as the RZ is, it's targeted at a very specific audience/class.

I'd assume a full kit would run in the $500-520 range Street price. Like jag said, that's a far cry from its competition. But like you said Vincent, it's Kyosho. They'll sell them even at this price. Dare I say, a three car lineup???

Not shocked just way over priced for a conversion . So if you want new RZ6 thats about $785 . You can get an MP9 or a ZX6 cheaper . The funny thing is the car didn't win shit lol .

But you don't need the $400 car to start with. If you have it, great, if not you're only looking at front plastics, shocks and turnbuckles. Nowhere near a $700 car. It's geared towards someone like us who has the rest of the parts already.

I think they have to. I haven't run on anything but dirt and clay so the RZ6 doesn't interest me much. However, it seems like everyone else in the world runs on carpet or turf of some sort and i'm guessing Kyosho sells more cars in Europe and Asia than they do in America. Honestly, I'm just waiting on a chassis that accepts a sideways shorty pack and a kyosho made 3 gear.

Default RZ6

If you don't already have an RB6, then this is pretty much everything you will need to buy to get a RZ6 going.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/account/...st/show/203033 ($514)

You're probably better off buying an RB6 kit, and then purchase the RZ6 conversion.

However, piecing one together does allow you to swap out some parts that you may never use from the kit to begin with, and save quite a bit of money. (Ceramic Bearings, Steering Rack, carbon towers, carbon arms, titanium turnbuckles, ballstuds, aluminum rear hubs, desired spring rates, etc)

The price of the ZX6 is $580 (amain), and the price for the RB6 is $399 (amain). If the conversion is $386 (which we don't know what it will cost here in the states yet.) that seems kinda high, but makes since given how much a complete ZX6 costs.

So it's not even complete and it cost more than other kits??? even for Kyosho this is outrageous. You need shocks and rear arms. Its not like they had to redesign the wheel for this. no bueno

But why do you need extra shocks and rear arms when you have them from the RB6 kit??

For a track with about a 70–80 foot straightaway, I'd start around a 69/30 in blinky mode. Temp after a few laps

What if you don't have an RB6 ? Then your $385 for the conversion and what ever it is for an RB6 . The price is outrageous no matter how much of a fanboy you are .
