I seem to remember a few people grinding the front nose brace (UM704) to give additional clearance for the servo horn. I'm using the TLR 22 Alum Horn and I've also tried the Exotek clamping horn, which is very similar in dimension. Both hit the nose cover and don't seem to allow full lock when turning left. Do most of you grind it till it fits? Any trouble doing this? Perhaps it's a more simple fix of moving my servo forward a bit so it doesn't hit the vertical post?

Hope that's clear...can post pics if need be.

Thanks!

i think they fixed the brace to allow clearance. anyhow, try shimming the ball stud on the servo horn too as for me it was the ballcup hitting the brace, if that can help you out. the tlr22 horn should be small enough dimensions, as it is very similar to the kyosho plastic horn.

i ultimately used the ball and cup from my durango on the servo horn, as it was much smaller then the kyosho.

Looks like shimming the servo mounts to move the servo forward have done the trick although at full lock the horn just touches the brace. It was also very very tight to squeeze the mounts between the servo ears and the wire exit. I'm using the MKS X6 low profile servo so with the thin servo shim it pushes on the wire more than I would like. With the thick shim it would be too much strain on the wire exit. I'd love to see servo's with multiple wire harness ports like our sensor wires sometimes do.

I'm also using smaller ball cups. might be Durango even lol!

Thanks all!

I've also just done the 3 gear mod essentially following the PetitRC setup. I used Durango gold 6x3x3mm and 6x3x2mm spacers for a total of 8mm and cut down the old spacer to flip it. I found it helps to leave the "bar" that connects the rest of the spacer (after the mickey mouse cut) and use it for the lower part of the motor plate. I'll try to post pics if I have a chance to take it apart...

I just got a used RB6. This is my first 1/10 scale anything, but I have a couple 1/8 scale buggies. The kit came configured mid motor, and I definitely want to try it that way even though it probably isn't optimal for the track that I run at (outdoor, dirt, very low grip).

The buggy came almost ready to run. I just need to pick up some batteries. Any suggestions?

Sorry. I forgot to mention that it came with a Orion 10.5T motor and a Vortex R10 ESC.

Thanks guys.

If it doesn't have it you'll want to grab a brass rear arm hanger to help put a little weight over the rear part number UMW725. If the car isn't setup to run shorty sideways, you'll want to at least cut the side pods to do this if not mill the chassis. Makes the car more stable on loose dirt.
Figure out the right tire for your track and let mid motor blow your mind outdoor.

It says its a conversation kit. Any guess as to what it consists of? 3 gear transmission maybe?

If I had to guess and if it close to what was used at the worlds,
New chassis, side guards, tranny (albeit 3gear or laydown 4gear), rear shock tower/camber mount, and maybe foam battery spacers or something for battery spacing/placement. Just a guess

This is going to be what Tebo ran at the worlds, RB6 front end, ZX6 rear end.

Seeing as they have some parts listed separately I'd assume the conversion kit will include a chassis, sideguards, braces and the ZX6 shaft driveline parts and body.

Pretty much the Reds Workshop car. A couple guys at a local track have this and it's amazing on the turf.

Woah! Seems like you could piece it together for less than that.
