I have heard of guys using the tapered AE pistons, does anyone have experience with this or setup sheets utilizing them?

I just used a dremel and a steady hand. I stopped frequently and checked the fit often. It was surprisingly easy.

What bit did you use on the Dremel?

I used a combination of dremel 540-01 cutting wheel and 431 sanding band. There may be better options, but that is what I had on hand.

When running the car in mid motor are you guys spacing the bottom of the rear shocks out with shims?? Looks like the spring is going to hit the turnbuckles.

Just looked at my son's car he doesn't and has plenty of clearance, but he uses v2 rear hubs with the camber link in front inside hole so that gives him more clearance.

Hey guys!

Modded my side pod plastics to take a shorty battery sideways - didn't grind the chassis down though. Is a couple mm going to make that much difference? I guess CG is going to be higher and car will roll more?

Yes it will make a difference, and should roll more. That might not be a bad thing though.

I use them. Fit just fine but you will need to shim them on the shaft. I think I used .2 shim out of KYO96641.

Is there anyone out there machining chassis for people? I have done my side pods, but I would like to mill the chassis down. Unfortunately I don't have the proper equipment to do it correctly.

Thank you to those who sent pictures of their side pods, very helpful.

Hopefully Kyosho will come out with a side ways battery chassis and side pod package.
