Its astroturf, but grip levels are more similar to carpet.

I've gotta say... I'm kinda disappointed in this car. I've had it since the week it came out and without and exaduration I think I've gone thru 15 steering racks. The car was advertised with an aluminum part and was produced with plastic. I mean even the AE 4.2 came with an aluminum rack. (And hubs for that matter) I just feel like we were short changed with the rack. Seems real brittle and I've broken it with the slightest touch. I dunno... Anyone else feel this way?

^ this... The definition of insanity is...
and plz don't compare this car to the b4.. How long has it been out? Its taken 10yrs for the car to come with those hop-ups.. And tbh, I ran the car for 4mos and only upgraded the rack, the car was flawless. The car didn't need alum, that's all bling.

LOL. Not to mention after "15 times", I'd at a minimum consider dialing down my car a bit and learn how to drive it before turning it back up. Like when I taught my son, "slower is faster". You're crashing hard and much more frequently than the bell curve if you've broken FIFTEEN of anything! My son probably broke 15 AE a-arms within a couple weeks last September, but he had just turned 9 and the B4.1 was his first RC "anything", and I showed up at the track, bought him a transponder, and through him feet (wheels) first right on the track.

You're doing something wrong if you keep breaking, plus the same part over and over. I never broke the part, but I opted for the Kyosho one as thats what I had on my RB5 and prefer to not have to worry about it.
I would start there.

I really don't tho. Last week I grazed a pipe and broke. After I fixed it I let someone use my car and he tumbled across 3 lanes and nothing broke. Last night someone smacked into me and it broke again. As for aluminum parts... I don't have any in any of my cars. Looks like time to upgrade I guess.

You are eventually gonna break a servo if you upgrade to the aluminum as well, unless something changes. This car does not have a servo saver. The stock part is not that weak. I never broke mine but just upgraded them for peace of mind. Only things I broke were in the winter season on really cold days (late 40s in early practice), 2 rear shock towers and 1 front C hub and 1 rear plastic hub (this was 1 3 months of almost weekly running 2 times).
