Just to make sure I'm not crazy here, the manual has you build the front end wide right? I've had people tell me they run narrow "like the manual" but the eccentric needs to be pointing away from the kingpin to be narrow, that moves the whole chub in. Manual has the hole furthest away from the kingpin which widens the track...

Maybe engineered in Germany (im not sure how the shape of the handle matters where it's engineered), but for only $3 a pop.. they are manufactured in one place only, and that is China. No way in heck they will stand up to an MIP tool made here in America, with American steel... not by a long shot.
And considering MIP drivers last upwards of 25+ years... id say $14 is a bargain... seriously.

This tool info is good. I have had extremely great luck with a set of dynamite hex head drivers. Not the plastic/ rubber handles ones but the ones that are red anodized and knurled handles. The hex head is as sharp as the day I bought them 2+ years ago. I think they were around 8 bucks per driver. Ergonomics aren't the best but it's manageable. Looking at them now, I don't even see a wear mark on the hex.
Very interested in e mip ones.

lastnight
the car felt so good lastnight, second day out at practice with it and i love it!
also, i drove a buddys who had a mid motor setup.. it was very fun and so fast in the corners, i had nearly just as fast laptimes. but the car gave up rear traction like crazy, i had to baby it and really work on precise throttle controll ( compared to my stock rear motor i can hammer on) I suspect if he could settle the rear down, I would be faster with it no doubt. he had a shorty in, maybe saddles, maybe a few weights? either way both configurations are a blast to drive, what a great car!
heres mine

Picked up a second RB6 off a buddy of mine! He just picked up a proline ride and is consentrating on SC for the time being. Used for only $250. For that price I feel like I won the lotto! Think it's been used less then my current one! LOL

Don't know. I didn't really inspect it but I do know he was running the tebo shock package. And a shorty because he wanted to keep weight down for stock, but if it was mine, I would add some myself.
Ps. My rm car with the shorty came it at 1582g

rb6 plastic wide hangers, are they both improved or just the front hanger? (rf2 front hanger looks beefier than the old one). I cant tell the difference between the rear hanger.
thanks,

"fastwon" on this thread has been playing around with mid motor on clay and looks like he has had some success. I think he mounted his shortie sideways and to the rear to gain rear traction. There are some pics on petit rc.
