We can put in some non sticky putty, or balancing clay in that gap and press in screw down the tranny. After that remove the tranny and see how much clay is left. Maybe epoxy in that much so the impact moves to the soft plastic of the tranny?
P.S. I don't have my buggy till saturday (or if fedex decides to be kind sooner) so I will try it once I get mine in hand should be brand new.

i wonder why they made the tail section of the chassis thinner then the rest? anyone have any ideas on this, and are the people who are denting the chassis setting ride height on the thinner part of the chassis. the way the setup sheet look it should be measured under the rear bulkhead, just wonder if that may be causing excessive chassis slap

I talked with Kyosho usa yesterday . they said if i am not comfortable with the chassis to send it to them with a sales receipt and they would take care of it . as i checked my chassis it has a slight dent crease also . mine is not a performance issue yet.. but as capt said we wouldn't want to get stuck having to buy another chassis . hopefully Kyosho will come up with a solution for this issue . Kyosho also said for now pack clay in the porous area around the transmission case . i will surely send mine back before the 90 days is up because my chassis is already compromised and will eventually fail .

I haven't broken anything on the car, and I'm still running the stock steering rack and decided not to run the longer ball studs in the front outer hubs. I've had no issues the car drives fantastically, responds amazingly to set up changes as well.
I mean I can be upset about it, but I have faith in Kyosho making this right. I really don't see the point in complaining. It's really great all these people on here are helpful and are more looking to finding a solution.
I was told the next batch of cars should be here in the US in early November.
For all you racers who run this car at AE and Losi dominated tracks. Don't sweat the smack talk. Let em drive your car, that should shut em up.

Yes my ride height was set correctly. I've ran the car 4 times since this happened and it hasn't gotten any worse. I went through it thoroughly before ever running it, I'm one of those 16 to 20 hours to build people, although I know it can be done in 3 or 4 hrs. I've raced r/c since 1992.

Any thing -Every thing is possible.
Iam not giving up.
in fact everything has a idiosyncrasy.

IMHO the easiest would be for K to release a update trans tree where the plastic fits into the chassis. What's the purpose of the bottom angling upwards? They probably missed this part from rb5. The rb6 trans was updated to support the wing supports anyway; release a 'B' or 'C' version. And then issue a skid plate similar to the dex210 (410?).
I know in my case I will not be able to seek a replacement chassis. We build multiple tranmissions anyway, this would appear the most sensible solution. My 2 cents, Cheers

This would solve the denting issue as there would be no way for it to bend without breaking the transmission case. Filling the gaps between the chassis and the case with something that won't flex is the only way to prevent the issue.

It is nice to have my theories all but confirmed.

I just stripped my chassis down to ship to Kyosho. Took some measurements with my calipers, the rear chassis thickness is 2.5mm the milled out trans section seems to be 2.1mm deep, that little square doesn't stand a chance.
I wish they would have made a cut out in the chassis for the transmission!
