black endbell is called touring -more torque
blue endbell is calld modified -more linear

from what i have read blue is better to use for T.C. cause since its more linear it makes the car easier to drive. if you want more explosive power i suggest get the black

According to a friend who is sponsored by Orion...

black==touring more aggressive, less efficient, 4mm comm
blue==offroad smoother, more efficient, 5mm comm

Blue is the "modified" version and is wound on a 5mm armature blank.....More torque and more of a broad power band..........The black "touring version" is wound on a 4mm blank.......less broad powerband and less torque, also less effeciency..........

Orions general advice from their website says for 6 cell touring......... for 8 turns and under: get the blue "modified" version ,to help get some torque and efficiency back thats inherently given up in low wind motors.........and for 9 turns and above: get the "touring", or other motors they wind on 4mm blanks......green, purple..........ect..............Joe
