O-Rings instead of taping or fishing line for your tires
I take no credit for this idea, I happily stole it from a WonderTiger member who showed us how well it worked on his trucks.
You get the O-Rings from McMaster-Carr, get the Hard Buna-N compound. It is a lot more durable and will take a beating for much longer than fishing line. No, they aren't indestructable, but they do last a good while.
The part number I use is McMaster Carr part number 5308T311. They fit perfect on my Trencher X's.
I use two on the X's, one on my MT4's tires. (Same size)
If you run a different size tire on your truck, you just need to get a set of calipers and measure the outer diameter, and order a slightly smaller size O-Ring. You want the fit to be snug, but not so tight that it compresses the foams too much.
On my Trencher X's on my ERBE
On my MT4 G3

Or better yet, line the inside of your tire with security tape and use a small bit of fiberglass resin bonding compound to adhere the tape permanetly to the inside of the tire. No more ballooning.

Yeah, I like that idea, but it adds even more weight and balancing issues to the tires.
I like this setup because its quick, easy, it works, and you can take it off if you want to.
I like your idea, though. Sounds like a much better solution than taping, if you are going with a permanent setup.

Yep any auto parts store will have the stuff. FIberglass "tape" and fiberglass resin is all you need. Cut the tape to fit perfectly inside the tire and overlap an inch. Then pull tape out, coat one side with a thin layer of resin(with a bit of hardener of course) and then reapply to inside of tire. Let set for 24 hours and done.
