You are welcome Mike. The count is now up to 60 and is steadily climbing.

Those of you who are planning to go to the Snowbird Nationals please click on the image below and click the green "I'm Going" button.

Wow! The count is up to 155 and still growing fast!

Who is planning to participate in the Figure 8 race this year?

A question for anybody that can answer it.......

This is going to be my first large race and looking at the rules I read it as if only regular weight bodys can be used. Just want to make sure I bring the right stuff.

Thanks in advance.

Steve,
You can use lightweight protoform a bodies I think what you're reading is referring to custom light weight bodies, as in ultra thin.

Steve,
As far as bodies for touring cars and 1/12 scale pan cars are concerned, as long as the body (part number) you are using is listed on the ROAR Approved Body List then you are OK.

Here's what I found on the approved body list:

1/10 Scale Electric Touring Car Bodies
  1. Protoform 1487 ; Mazda Speed 6 ; Good until 6/6/2014
  2. Protoform 1497 ; R9-F ; Good until 6/6/2014

  2. Parma 10225; DB9 World GT; Good until 2/27/2015
  3. McAllister 257; Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano; Good until 12/3/2013

1/12 Scale Pan Car Bodies
  1. Parma 10125; 2001 Exp Speed 8; Good until 2/27/2015

I`ll be using the Mazda speed 6. I was asking because the lightweight body has a -11 in the part number where as on the approved body list it is not shown.

Thank You

This is just going to serve to confuse people... there are plenty of legal bodies that are not on the list you posted.

If anybody is confused by the shortened list, they can look at the full list of ROAR approved bodies at this web page -> http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/print_sbody.php

Hi Bullfrog (Bill). Yes that will be OK for the pan car figure 8 class. We should have a good group of touring and pan cars for the two races Saturday night.
