I just made some changes to my car and decided to give them a try tomorrow at SoCal. I'm basically trying to get the rear of the car to rotate but not get loose, so it's a fine line I'm walking but I think I have the fix.

I ll be at SoCal all day Wensday working out a good setup for Sunday.

I weighed and balanced even with the following.
GP 3300, Gm SX12 ESC, KO PDS 2363, Stock motor 25grams of balance lead, a E Stratus, Rayspeed rear cvd's, JRC Motor heatsink and fan, grafite arms, hub carriers, knuckles and c hubs, & Stock screws I weighed in at 1460grams. I just put on Ti SCrews yesterday but haven't weighed it yet. Will let you know. Man I fell kinda funny addign all this weight.
Think I will add another fan to help remove some heat.
Any other suggestions for the other 40-60grams to bring it up to legal limits?
Hey Randy do you know if Jimmy is going by any sanctioning body for the rules for the JBRL? Just curious if I should really try and focus on getting the weight right before sunday or just leave it balanced under weight.
Thanks,
Stephen <><

We will see this weekend how the BD does in a top competition if Grainger is running it as it is the start of the UK nationals. Also we could see some prototype parts on the car as he prefers a spool to a 1 way and its a huge track and the motor limit is as low as 8 turns this season.

This is the track

Shookinator: I dont know if JB goes by any sanctioning rules, I've never run one of his races, and this is the first TC race he's having, but I'd have to guess no.

I'll be at SoCal today testing some new stuff, you should try to make it out and race tonight instead of practice tomorrow when they shut the track early for off-road.

Built my car now, went together well aprt from i cut those little tabs off the belt tensioner cam like another guy did in this thread :P . I used the standard SD roll center/camber link holes instead of the king pin thingy.

The steering system is awsome, its so so loose compared to my SD.

I just need to wait for a differential and a locked center pulley now :'( going to install all of my electronics tonight and run it on the stand for a while.

maybe take some pictures

BD has to be one of the best cars Ive ever built. It went together very easy and very easy to work on too!! A lot easier to work on than any other car I have owned. Ran it with foam tires on asphalt last weekend and it was pretty good for the first time on the track with a few changes it will be a lot better. Going to run rubber tires this weekend!!

Im a bit too far ahead. It was proposed as an 8 turn limit but the limit was removed so be looking at 7 turns by the top guys. I may be there if i can get a motor and tyres by then. I do think we will see prototype parts on Grainger's car.
