I think they're HPI c-hubs but both AE and hpi look very similar from above. AE hubs need more modding to fit.

hi.

i got some cnc/aluminium steering knuckle (not sure what brand).

anyway i found that i had two types of CVA axles. one is shorter and one is longer.

the shorter one fits on the cnc steering knuckle.

the longer on fits on the standard plastic steering knuckle.

does the kit come standard with 2 types of front axle CVA's? one is shorter and one is longer ?

or the shorter cva axle is a hop up aswell.

What are the thoughts behind using the HPI parts on the car? Are the parts the same as Pro4 parts (hobby shop has a ton of parts for it here)?

Thanks

Jeff

the 0 have no offset. If you're looking from the side you'll see the part where the kingpin screws in is right in the centerline of the bearing. The offset is 1 mm offset towards the rear of the car.

The effect of that is the 1degree offset knuckles give slightly less initial steering into a corner than the 0degree knuckles.

I believe it's a AE C-hubs masami is well known on using associated parts. If you look at his LRP TC master setup of 2005, The C-hubs the he used on his BD is AE 4 degree C-hub.

"0"is just normal inline, like every other steering knuckle from HPI, Tamiya etc. "1"is 1mm trailing, drive axle 1mm behind kingpin. It's a bit like running more castor, smooth out the car a lot. I use it only on very big track with one-way. But most of the time I run spool now, "0" inline is always used.

You need SD-415S(normal composite), or SD415SG(graphite). You get two "0" inline steering knuckles per bag,

In that setup he uses c hubs from the old TC car, these come in 3,4,5 and 7 degrees of caster. Iv never seen him use AE parts on Yokomo touring cars.

Those are old yokomo C-hub in LRP master. I think Masami is using HPI parts in the Worlds now.
