Yes, it definitely would be great if someone who bought the BD Grainger edition could post the tips and setups to the BD community.
thanks !

Thanks mike, i will, but right now our LHS doesn't have the sdw arms in stock...
could you clarify "steer better"? like more initial steering? or more mid to exit?
thanks - jason

On the carbon fibre steering plate I suggest to sandwich it with thin washers to avoid cracking.
I use Mugen MTX4 connectors and ball link connectors.

1. due to using the lower hole on the c-hub, the kit now comes with a 0.5mm spacer and a 1mm spacer to go on top of the steering block, to remove play. He also explains the handling differences witht he holes, "the upper hole gives more aggresive steering mid-corner"
2 THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! This regards the shocks. To put in a nutshell, trim 50% off the stem of the triangle piece, and put it in upside down. This allows more oil under the piston, and more grip (according to him!)
3. kit comes with RS-14 (3x1.2mm) pistons
4. rear hubs are built with a spacer that slots in before the inner bearing, this is because the rear driveshafts are different.
5. remove material from SDW arms
6. explains the ackerman differences, also whether to mount the links above or below the plate. Doesn't matter, but when running more than 1mm under susp. blocks, put them on top otherwise they will hit the susp. mount
7. removing play from steering plate: line bearing holes with thin glue
8.belt tension, firmer belt=more traction, looser causes drag
9. explains why battery strap isn't included
10. explains 0 offset hubs, give more steering
That's the included grainger booklet summarised a lot, it then includes all of his BRCA setups.
The car is great, comes with 2 spools etc but there are a few problems
1. in the diff/pulley building bag, which have 2 pulley bearings and 2 diff bearings. I was given 4 pulley bearings, which have a smaller hole. With these the diff can't be built, luckily I have old diffs around and used some old bearings.
2. The instruction book isn't any different, and it's only through experience I knew how to build the locked centre for example.
But it's great!
