My Question is, what teeth spur gears will i need? and what make of spur gears fit the BD?

Any Help Much appreciated

I've already contacted Speedtech and Yokomo direct, neither have them instock.

Given how easily it broke, I'm not exactly excited to replace it with the same part. I do not know any other options here. Does anyone else?

Maybe it was a freak think. I'm interested to know if others have found this part to be fragile.

Were you running a servo saver? That might have helped.

The stock spur is xenon 78T. I'm sure you could go larger if you want. I recommend the xenon spurs that speedtechrc sells. Others will fit, robinson, etc.

Default Steering Knuckle

Hi all,

is it me only or does anyone else experience the top kingpin for the camberlink stripping the screw threads in the steering knuckles? Will changing to aluminium knuckles help?

Thanks.

Yes, I had the same problem on the weekend just gone. I think the Alu knuckles would do the trick, but the Suzuki ones are almost impossible to find at the moment as they're machining all the Aluminium for the BD and LCG.

Had one break, from a pretty good hit. It kind of delamiated (sp) at one of the ball studs and broke. It was a part that I did not CA. Got a replacement part and CA'ed it completely including the area where the ball studs mount. No problems since.

Yes there is another brand of blue aluminum steering knuckles out there for the Yok, can't remember the name.

Best bet is to buy the Ti light weight king pins, this keeps the kingpins going in straight and from binding. Most people overtighten the top king pin, just screw it in a less than a half turn once it feels tight. Use the Ti kingpins in the bottom.

And they've been out of stock since before the BD came out.
