Well Bolink used to make one, only problem is that they are no longer in the business, you might get lucky and find one on ebay, or if there old web page is still up, get a ideal on making on from scratch.

Before Bolink even thought of making one there was T&A machine.

I still have alot of basic parts such as the rear plate, axles, and axle carriers.... the rest you would have to come up with to make work. I also have instructions from the bolink version if you need an idea of how it goes together.

Thunder Tiger makes a gas pan car which you could either buy or get parts from to make the conversion.

Default Bolink Nitro Pan Car?

I have this old nitro pan car that I would like to get running. Is it a Bolink? I need some help with a motor recommendation and how to set up the motor, exhaust, flywheel, clutch and brake.

Any help would be appreciated.

I also picked up this rear pod off of e-bay the other day, the seller said it came off of a Assoc. R10L conversion. Any ideas on who the manufacturer is?

It has a Dynamite 12 pull start engine. The clutch assembly is complete but is in need of some TLC. The whole assembly wobbles on the engine shaft, one of the clutch shoes is broken.

Were these run as cam am cars or oval cars?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Lee B.

The front suspension and bumper are Associted pieces. Not sure on the rear pod setup, rear axel looks like Associated parts as well. the only one of these i have ever seen was the above mentioned T & A machine. This one looks nicer than what that one was.

Hope this helps.

that is a nice find!

It looks like a mixture of Associated parts, and Bolink parts. A 12 or 15 engine with side exhaust will work perfect. With a bit of work a rear exhaust could work.

The brake system is very simple by using a steel band with a pad on it, which will rub on the fly wheel for breaks. An Associated RC10 clutch system usually work best for these cars. The T&A system worked for 48 pitch gear systems, but to keep things simple, and ease of parts, 32 pitch gears and a Associated clutch system works good.

Man looking at those cars brings back memories!! I had a Apex 10 with a dynamite .12 modified by Ron Paris and it was stupid fast and handled well. I use to run it with a nascar body had a blast.

Thanks guys,
The rear pod has a copper or brass brake band with some sort of pad on it. The motor mounts on the pod match the holes on the bolink chassis exactly. A TC3 fuel tank lines up with the holes in the chassis as well. I'll update this thread as I find out more stuff or do something to one or both units. Thanks again.
