rc-zombies do you have any of those Tamiya 42mm steel universal shafts?

If I were you I shouldn't drill a hole in the chassis, it will proberly takes away the strength and makes the chassis inconsistant and/or tweaked.
Just take a piece of scrap lexan, like what was said before. You want to switch, so drill that hole in the lexan so you can use the Orion transponder.
And if you want to use the AMB one, you could use velcro to hold it. Just some velcro one the Personal transponder and on the lexan (same area where you drilled the hole the the Orion one) and you're done.

Like the other people said, I used leftover lexan from a new body I cut out and put some carbon fiber decal sheet on top. Apply some servo tape on one of the sides, stick it down on top of your servo and you have a transponder mount. If you use personals, apply it on the underside of the holder. If you use a house transponder, use your body reamer to make a hole and clip it on the underside.
Works great!

this might fit the cyclone...unfortunately it's only
available in Asia and it blue...

No but they have them at my local race track for $15 pr. set. I go back there tomorrow. They work great and helps you keep the look on your car since the original ones are dark as well. I hate putting blue stuff on my car!!!!!
If you have a hard time finding them, I can pick up a pair for you and ship them.

I don't think you'll find that in the states... you're best bet is overseas in Japan or HK.
