Can anyone of you post couple pics of your cars using tape to secure batts ?, even when i tested a lot during the weekend the 3racing velcro strap, its kinda bulky and i think more weight than tape ...

thanks,

Pat

Which of the latest 40C packs from either SMC or Thunderpower fit the Cyclone without dremeling the bulkheads?

SMC 3200 40C is the only one that fits without mods (20.5mm high)

None of the 5000's fit without some work. With the Thunderpower 5000mAh I still had to take some material off (it's the thinnest 40C at 23.5mm, which is why I went for it). The SMC 5200 40C and the Reedy 5000 35C are 24.5mm.
The SMC 4700 40C (with inboard connectors) is 25mm.

Having said that, I don't know if you need 40C packs, unless you're racing mod. In 13.5 or 17.5, there isn't very much difference between the 24C, 28C or the 40C. Jeff Cuffs TQ'd and won 17.5 Rubber at the Snowbirds this year with the SMC 24C 5200's, even though he could have ran 28C or 40C packs.

Thanks Pete. Anyone have a pic of the mod required? I don't want to turn my sedan into a hack job.

Does anyone know if the TC Bottom deck (Chassis) will fit the WCE without any mods needed?

Are you using the Cyclone TC? I had this problem to and i solved it by using the WCE links on the front sway bar.

i made a tray that fits around the battery 2 keep it form moving

the tray goes all the way around the battery and is screwed to the chsaais

the pic is of the prototype that i make out of a piece of 3mm lexan i have since made 2 outa some 2.5 mm carbon fiber
