so is it a good assumption to say this unit & the Frontline/Record Breaker Chargers are like comparing "apples to apples"???????

well first the frontline is not the same as the record breaker

i have a record breaker and the orion advantage. very similar with an exception in the MAH adjustment is by 10 on the RB and by 50 on the Advantage.... imho not a big deal.

the Advantage can also do duty as 10amp discharger, and function as a Linear Charger, and MegaFlex Charger in seperate modes.

the RB is only a charger.... both work very well as 3 step charger

so looks like the advantage charger is a better deal than the RB. for $160.00 not bad and when it breaks ORION is only located in la palma anaheim ca. send for repair.

the team orion would be a red apple... record breaker would be a green apple.. both apples.. but different colors and different tastes.

the frontline is a peach. so you cant compare that.

I thought that the frontline & the record breaker were similar, ONLY that the Frontline unit was MORE user friendly.....

thanks for the quote!!! I have made my mind up on which one to get!!!!!!!

Hey guys, can you adjust the charge amperage while charging, sorta like the LRP you can change the amperage on the fly?

I'm getting ready to buy either the LRP Pulsar 2 or the Advantage. I would appreciate some advice .

That would be a good thing to have. But not necessary.

Thanks

just received my "Advantage" today, and I was wondering if anyone had a "good" setting for the charger for 3-stage "charging" for 6 cell 1.171-1.175 GP's for 19 turn-rubber tire touring car??????

I am new to the "whole" 3 stage syle of charging, and I would like to have a good "starting" point for my settings on the charger!!!

hope you'll can help!

There you go :

Step 1 : 2400mAh 7A - Mega Flex off
Step 2 : 2450mAh 0.2 - Mega Flex off
Step 3 : 4200mAh 6A
Temperature : 50°
Delta Peak : 3mV

At the end of programming the step charge it asks you if you want the "Roff" or "Ron" does anyone know what that means? I left it off but have no clue what it is since the manual doesn't help much maybe someone here could hook me up.

It's the repeak if you want.
I suggest to leave it off.
