I'm running stock and 19t but was only figuring on four sets total. I mean how much can you wear rubber on carpet? Keeping in mind I honestly don't know since I never ran on it.

4 sets of tires for each class @ lets say $25 a set. (pretty normal for a race like this) There's $200 dollars. Then you'll need tires for practice, you'll need a minimum of 2 sets but most will get 4 so that they're running tires with no more than one run one them just like race conditions where you'll need to run a re-run set at least once. That's $300 right there.

I'm not sure where you got that I was being condescending but I wasn’t and I don’t think I talked down to you like a child....if that’s how you took it, I’m sorry it was not meant to be that way. I know that this race isn’t cheap believe me I know, I think everyone that is paying out of their own pocket knows just how much this all costs. Scotty isn’t running the Hobby Shop at the track and it’s not at his place of business so processing CC’s would be more work. I still don’t understand if you were going to use your Cash to gamble how you can’t use your CC to gamble. Most casino’s or gambling boats that I have been to will take about any form of payment. So if you already have your cash to use for gambling why not just use it for your tires?

Maybe it's the telling us 2 weeks before the event that were going to need another 300 or so bucks, I would of been better prepared for it.
I have never been to an event like this so how would I have ever known, and I'm sure this is the first event of it's kind for a lot of people.

I fear since everyone has so much money invested there may be a lack of sportsmanship and people will be tightly wound. The more money that is spent, the more serious things become.

If you have a credit card or checks you can go to the "Cash Advanced" or whatever the Stardust calls there check cashing area and and get cash for whatever amount you write the check or want off the card. But if I remember correctly there is a surcharge and if the check bounces it is an astronomical fee. I know it varies state to state with gambling laws so you can always call ahead and find out. The funny thing about these places is they seam to like your money and will do whatever they can so you can play.

Is there any way that the people who need to use a credit card for tires could pre-order them from Scotty and pay by phone? I know they have to be bought there,but if they called trackside and pre-order,could'nt they just pick them up from Scotty at the Stardust?

I am sure people could pay for tires with a CC from their laptop, then print out the receipt and pick up the tires.

Scotty has to keep the 2 ventures (Trackside and SEP LLC) separate where ever possible.
I am working on a solution as we speak and i MAY have the issue resolved. I will have an answer one way or the other in the morning.
Scotty is in bed right now....... imagine that! he was up for about a day and a half between trackside, his REAL job and working on this race. The least i can do is let him sleep till the morning
