Is the RC track still open if someone wants to just log laps on a day off?

If so is there electricity still out there to charge my batteries?

very good question....... in the past if you wanted to run during the day; you needed to go up the road to the rental office. I would try that and see. None of the regular runners there from the recent past have been back to run; race or practice. Its shame as it is dam near in my back yard.

Last time I was there is was very dusty and unkept. No water in the tank so I slid everywhere, got to use all of the track. Plus, the layout seemed geared towards 1/8th scale so that equaled no joy for me. After 2 different days of practicing and neither one seemed like the track was ever groomed I've given up. Shame too. I'd frequent if it was run better. Heck, I'd water, roll, leaf blow the place if they'd fill the water tank up!

I went down there on Frday. From what they told me at the Uhaul place up the road. It is only open on weekends. There is still electricity out there. The people in there had to call somebody and find out. so take it for what it is worth.

It is open on the weekends, me and a Friend ran out there Saturday for a few hours.
The guy that runs it said he is working on fixing the watering system. Had a couple bad leaks in the pipes. And he is also working on fixing the Lap transponder system.
It was dusty but we didn't seem to have a problem hooking up, I ran proline Diamondbacks on the Losi 8ight and Badlands on my slash. Both did well.

I *think* they are planning to open back up for Summer racing pretty soon. You might want to give Matt a call at Extreme Hobby. He was running it last Summer. They ran several races with a pretty good turn out. (931) 451-5500

Thanks BruceR. My boys just want to go to a track somewhere and play right now. Not racing these yet. We raced a mx race there a few years back and noticed the r/c track there. I called them a few weeks ago at the # on the website. They stated they were closed due to rain a few days earlier. I didn't ask anymore ???'s because I felt like it wasn't a biz Phone #. Maybe the owners cell #. We found Chickasaw off Hwy 7. Grown up bad. You know of any places in or area that will let us do this, let me know. They need practice before they will feel comfortable racing.
