The number one driver in my country is planning to sell his FK05 (sponsor car) and keep T1 FK and TRF 415MS as his primary weapons.

Another group A driver also had the same decision to sell 05 and keep his T1 FK.

I'm getting suspicious with FK05's performance ( .... but I'm thinking to buy it anyway ).

Thats what I was thinking. You drive what they tell you. Especially if the 04 is out of production.

That's strange...everything I've seen, heard and experienced poitns to the FK05 outperforming the FK...

I'm happy as can be with my FK05 and I'm not looking back...

So...he is sponsored by Xray, and yet he also drives a TRF???? That makes a whole lot of sense. Would be kinda like if I had a JR R-1 radio in my box for back up, instead of another Ko....

one thing! if he was an actual sponsed driver why would he be selling it & not giving it back to the provider of the car. by what your saying tell's me he has lost his sponsorship.
i personally think the fk05 is a better car than the fk04 it's faster, & turns better, also i find the drive train is more free. the only problem i have with this car is the amount of weight i have to add & no i have had no problem's with the thrust bearing's

I haven't heard anything either. I sent them a email a couple days ago to find out when we should be receiving them and have not received a reply to that one either. I guess I will just have to call them.

Meant to post this a couple of days ago, i emailed the UK distributer (Mirage Racing) on the day of the announcement who said they'd be posting out the replacements next week, well it arrived today, I happened to have one of these units in my spares so its already been replaced (just as well as ive had a few regional series races since failing after 2 days racing) but it seems Mirage have been spot on with there service!

Sure its the same over at your end too, its probably taken a day or 2 longer to get yours to the distributers as its purely a ball-race in a bag, its not tagged up as a normal product, and they'll have needed to ship loads over, its not like they'd have thousands of them in a warehouse somewhere hehe.

I don't think the FK is still better than the 05. Maybe just because the track don't really suit the 05 characters (has low traction and bumpy asphalt) and yet, definitely the FK has tons of grip and better consistency through 5 minutes of running.

The only problem why people are still prefer the FKs is because they can change spur and pinion combination easily. XRAY has to come with new bulkhead to allow easy access to pulley, belt, spur and diff (I think Yokomo BD is 1 step forward for this)

Maybe what you meant is one of the best driver NOT the number one driver, because the current number one driver is another XRAY driver in Surabaya and also watching this thread! LOL

...yea like MartynD said, although when I was using the AE droop gauges I would use 2 of them one in the back and one in the front to measure with that way the car is elevated at 0.

Default Axiom Thrust bearings

Well, I installed the Axiom Thrust assembly in my car tonight. I had been using a used XRay thrust assembly as the original ones in my kit failed. The diff is sweet now! With the used one the diff actually felt worse than with the failed kit thrust, but now the diff is nice and smooth. If you can't wait for the XRay exchange give the Axiom thrust a try, its alot cheaper than buying the OEM part. (I could buy about 4 Axiom for one XRay assembly)

Also ran one of Axiom's tuned C2's, geez... before tonight I had only run Reedy QM's in 19T... well I dropped my personal best by 4 tenths!! Though my consistency isn't where I'd like it to be... I certainly had the speed. The fast guys are doing 9.6's - 9.5's... I am finally doing under 10! so that made my weekend +)

One of the local shops in the Toronto area, said they would be getting the thrusts in within a week or so.. yet the distributor told me they were weeks away...
