Novak 5800 SS Brusless System
I have two of these systems. One in a Tamiya EVO 4, and one in a Losi Bk-2. I am new to the sport, and am racing the Bk-2. I love them both. I would suggest buying the Yokomo Noise Killer Kit, I am installing it this weekend due to some glitching issues. Hoping it helps. I keep seeing posts on reducing the Exponential with these systems. Will this increase motor breaking before hitting corners? I can't late brake like some brushed guys can. What is the definition Exponential? Thanks.

bah..I dont think anything on the market is roar legal with the exception of the novak motors. But that's kinda like catch 22...it's not fast nuff to compete with the brushed motors...especially now ROAR has lifted the 10 T min. limit....so as of now....are there anything out there that is roar legal? The shadow isn't cause it's 4-pole...
I don't care about rules no more. I ordered myself a U-forc 75 and a hacker 6 turn....i doubt our local club will care whether if the hacker is legal or not...it'll be balistic though! haha

Any of the C40 S would fit. Just choose the turn you want...

Got my SS5800 with 415 ready today. The ESC is really too big..
Looking forward to LRP Sphere ESC. Wonder how the speed will be with Sphere / SS5800 motor combination.
btw, any gear ratio suggestion? Manual said 7.3:1, but is that for large track or small track?

i would say this is for short tracks.. i run 7.5 ration with my ss5800 the problem is if you drive with lower ratios, like 6.5 esc get hot and starts shutting off

anyway , i ordered lehner with uforce75, so should be no problems

Have you ordered the PC "U-Link" unit that connects to the "U-Force-75", as well? I've heard that you can change and set additional parameters using the computer and is much, much easier than programming it the old fashion way.

no, i didn't...
i will do that if i have any problems...

With or without the U-Soft link the U-force is a powerhouse and a step ahead of any brushed and/or brushless car esc, with the exception of the MGM ComPro. I will be ordering the U-F75 this week along with a kontronik twist 42 (Hacker drivers look out) to equip this on my TRF415 MS. Since I'm planning to run on high voltage 14.8 LiPo's the U-Soft computer link is a must have. With access to the ESC settings via laptop or pc, it will allow to change settings such as, battery cut-off voltage, etc... An excellent safety/backup feature.
One point to mention. This highly efficient low turn, high voltage setup is in NO WAY equal in performance to ANY 1/10 brushed modified motor car, let alone any 1/10 nitro. Even a 6 turn brushed would not come even close to this. I have witnessed high end electric cars that draw a 3300 pack flat within less than 4 minutes. You need to see it to believe how fast it feels and how long runtime lasts on a highly effecient brushless lightweight system. Especially with a Kontronik Twist 42 running on (4s) 4400MAH 14.8 volts capacity !!!!!
