OK, I cant find it. What are the timing indicators on an SS motor to put it back to factory timing if the case wasn't marked before? I searched the old thread and came up empty handed even though I know it's there.

Found it...

They were most likely cheap (in part) because they're not USVTA legal. The Novak motors tend to have a higher resale value.

The USVTA rules were designed to keep things fair and somewhat laid back... one motor manufacturer + two legal models = no motor wars.

The Novak SS 25.5 will run fine in VTA, and is a bit cheaper than the Ballistic. Some clubs/tracks are running their own variant of the USVTA rules where other brands (or body styles, etc.) are allowed, if that's your local track (or if you're running ROAR rules) then the Trinity motor would be fine.

I'm trying not to ask how many times you actually have it out at night where the glow in the dark part would make a difference?

Are you going to make an appearance (with your illegal driver figured car) on a race-day anytime soon?

fastest lap at the roar 2012 carpet nats was a 12.1 with a novak ballistic. roar allows all brand 25.5 and a couple were running the DUO3 25.5 but the novak still got fast lap. the nice thing is if you do blow the ballistic up it's cheaper to replace it with a new stator then buy another duo3

I love the look on this driver's face. It makes me want to put him in my VTA just because his expression reflects my driving style.
