Finally i got the truck done
Ran it for the first time last night on indoor off road track ...the motor was flawless
I have the timing @ 50 degrees and the temp came off @ 130 degrees...that's the hottest it gets. The torque and the speed seems good but can i get more out of it? I'm running 28/76 on Kyosho scr 2wd sc truck. Should i drop a pinion and go up on timing ? Not sure how to go about !!
Thanks

Yes, I would bump timing to 55* and drop 1 tooth to a 27T. Then watch temps. That would be a different power band you may be looking for. If track is really flowing you will notice a good difference.

Express 17.5 Beast ran good this weekend. TQ and 1st in 17.5 Blinky TC at Bush River Raceway against some really fast guys. I ran 3.95 FDR with 55° timing. With the new fan the motor temps were about 140° after the main. I'm still trying different gearing and settings on the Orca esc, but so far, really happy with the performance. Thanks John!

1st place opening round texaseos winning car, any 25.5 motor rule.
Fan failure during a 12 min main and motor temps checked at 200 degrees. Motor still runs like a champ.

Default Team eXpress Motorsport

Good Day Everyone! My Name is Sean "007" Carney. I just joined the Team eXpress Motorsport Team Representing the Michigan "Detroit Area". Thank you John Tag for that. First weekend racing with the new HT/HT "Beast" 17.5 in Stock SCT Class helped me to secure a 4th place finish after I bobbled the sweeper entrance costing me 2 spots. Motor was flawless and kept me in the race all day long.

Currently sitting 3rd in the points of "The Series"
http://www.the-series.com/#

I will have YouTube video's posted under Team Smack Racing as soon as I can process them.

Next race I can't wait to get another "Beast" motor for my 22B 2.0.

D4 is the nicest Bl motor to date. I'm really impressed. Tag, does the D4 have timing built in or is zero true zero. Out of the box it is set at 50 degrees?

Great job Al Sodano on his TQ at Jackson R/C running the NEW Trinity D4 17.5 based Twister from Express Motorsports. Al was able to turn TQ and impressive laps before running into trouble in the main. Great first outing for Al and his Express D4 17.5 against many of the North Easts top racers at there track.

Goots- Motors come Factory set at 30*- Basically 0* built in motor.
