Kyosho TF5 rtr Spur gear and pinion?
Hello rctech,i am glad to talk with you for one more time.
i need your help about the correct choose about spur gear and pinion gear.
right now i am owned 1 combo ezrun 8.5t Ezrun 4000KV
and i am playing with 2cell battery 5300mah
the speed isnt enought for me, and i need more.
the problem is the motor can handle from 36 pinion to 40+ or will be too much for it?
i am using the stock spur gear and pinion gear.
spur gear: 68t 48p
pinion gear 36t 48p
but as i say i need more top speed.
what u suggest me to do? what is better for me?
to change motor to 5.5t
or to change the spur gear and pinion gear from another car.but which one?
thank you all for the help i appreciate it.

I would go into your local hobby shop and see what spur/pinion gears they have for you
It looks like your gearing is a long way out , i would go more allong the lines of 100 spur and your 37 pinion
most spurs and pinions fit all types of car
but check the temprature of the motor every 2 mins of running

it supposed can play till 50celcium or i am wrong?
i was thinking to move it a lil bit long the gearing with only just 40t pinion from 36t.what do u think?
thank your for fast reply.
i was in local hobby shop but kyosho the min spur gear is 68t and pinion max 36 for 48p ofc i am talking.

i run it with full throttle for 20 mins and when i check for temperature was 25celcium in motor and 20 in esc.
it supposed can play till 50celcium or i am wrong?

I have looked on Kyosho website and the spur gear is just the same as all the other universal spur gears that can be bought online or at a good hobbyshop , i would look into the gear range i told you in the 1st post
if your in doubt ask at another better hobbyshop

The problem you might have here is the motor can't produce enough torque to get you going any faster. If you go to a higher fdr you might allow the motor to spin at a higher rpm, and have more punch at the same time.

that i afraid to do.. i am not sure if can handle bigger pinion etc. long gearing.

You want a smaller pinion, not a bigger one.
What I mean by higher fdr is say 5.5 instead of 4.5, this should allow the motor to get to its full rpm.
