electric touring cars
What do you think the best electic chasis is for around 300 dollars?

300$?
There arent very many touring chassis' that will run you $300. I think the xray is just above 300$US but the xray is one sweet machine.

The TA04R is a very good car at under 300 dollars. It comes with many option parts and a SWEETTTT body. If you want to spend around 300 dollard, then the 414M would be an awesome car.

what companies make these cars including the x ray

Here's all that I know, MR-4 TC Special edition, Associated TC3 Factory Team, I think the corally C4.1 is about 360, X-ray is about 320, HPI Pro 3 is about 220, Team Losi XXX-S is about 200...Take a look at the "best electric TC" poll that I posted, there is a list there. Basically, around 250 comes with some hopups, the MR-4 and TC3 FT I know both come with all the concievable hopups that the company makes, X-ray comes with everything, so does the C4.1
I have a MR-4 Special, converted from a Pro, and I think it rocks. There are alot of TC3s at my track too, and they always look fast. Seen a 414M, and heard it is hard to setup, but can be great, alot of people like the XXX-S, but I think it would cost alot of money as far as hopups go...
Depends alot of what you have parts support for.

You can get the Corally at SuperiorHobbies.com, I actually think the Corally is a little nicer. They are very similar in layout, but the Xray has proven to be rather hard to get parts for. I personally think all the cars out now are competition worthy. It just comes down to what car feels comfortable to you. If you like to hit boards a lot and your an agressive driver the TC3 may not be for you, but something like a HPI Pro 2 or a Kawada may be, they are both built like tanks. And the upside is that these cars sell for relatively cheap on ebay, etc.

Why spend 300 if you don't have to?
Get yourself a Seven Even 6.0 Pro, and then have it converted to X-Ray blades. Check out the RC Lab thread yourself, and take a look at a gorgeous car. It has all the Aluminum and Carbon fibre that you could want.
