Default SMC releases IB3600 cell.

Were going to release the new IB3600 cell in a few weeks. After track testing this cell has proven to have allot of potential. It's main feature is lower IR and high capacity combined with good average voltage. Best of all it's cheaper than the current cells available.

Were the exclusive distributor for IB cells in North America.

IB3600 meaning intellect?
I would love to hear if there are different ways to charge/discharge them compared with GP's.

So far we have been running them like the GP cells and as we get more track time with them we will post any new methods we find.

IB has comitted itself to keep improving their cells and we believe this will be the cell of choice. Josh Cyrul has been doing some of our track testing and he's impressed with this cell.

It's healthy for the RC industry to have more than one choice when it comes to cells. This will keep the prices down and make the cells better.

Great News... I've been waiting for good 3600's to come out.

Danny, any idea when this new cell will get submitted to Roar?

Thanks,

Michael

Way to go Danny. Good luck and I am sure IB-being the little guy is going to be VERY aggressive in development of there new cells. I am sure that means faster cells for us at a lower price.

Exactly Ray... GP makes a good battery, but they keep increasing the prices w/o drastic improvements. Maybe a little competition will help out everyone

We hope to ship out our first shipment in 10-13 days and we will most likely have some available to sell at the Snowbirds even if they will not be legal to race at this event.

The key feature of this cell is that it delivers high voltage upfront with low IR. After sending out packs to track test none of our racers have said that they don't run good. Some say they are better than the packs they have and some say they run as good. That proved to me that this cell has potential.

Hi, can you provide us with the IB cells cycling numbers? Just like when you tested the Sanyo cells?

Glad to hear we're gonna have some higher capacity cells that still have good voltage.

I sent you an E-Mail Danny.

Here are the number range I got based on the test cells we did. I will have more info as we do our first batch of cells.

430-450 , 1.17-1.18 and 1.9-2.3IR @ 30 amps.

360 - 380 , 1.16 -1.17 and 1.9-2.3IR @ 35 amps.

The low AIR of this cell makes it a great performing cell on the track.

Any forecast on pricing? I had heard that was one of the main benefits of the Intellect cells?
