I have the same charger.
I always charge at its max of 5A, abit low for serious racing but it does me fine.
For discharging, the 3A this charger offers is fine for basher car packs, though for competition you need 20-30A discharge rates.

I don't know of any chargers offering those sort of discharge rates off hand. There maybe some very expensive ones that do...
3A is the max for the Triton
Some chargers will discharge at 10A though.
I'd recommend just buying a separate discharger. Integy sells some that will work fine in both 20 or 30 rates. I think they can be purchased for less than $50USD another option are the bulb dischargers, which you can build yourself or buy pre-assembled.
Check some of the larger online hobby stores to get some idea of whats out there for discharging.

I dont know your budget, but the Eagle / Integy CDC discharges at 20 amps.
A lot of people seems to do fine with 10 amp discharge rate.
A discharger built into the charger, usually allows for cycling and some battery data. On the other hand, the Integy Reacto dischargers are affordable and can be used while charging another pack...

there is no risk of damaging the pack by setting the trickle current down to 50mAh.......
if you let your pack sitting after peak during 1 hour it will charge only 50mA more.....
and I think nobody leaves a charged pack sitting for that long...
