Thanks everyone for the replies. 'm gonna dig a little deeper on the hitec and savox, see what works for me. Me and my son do not currently race, but do have fun at the track because its 5 minutes from the house We just want to be able to go out and play with no worries of the servo giving out. As I said earlier, Im stuck with the futaba 3305, should I put this on the throttle or steering? I probably spend a bit more on my next one

I switched to Savox about two weeks ago right before cabin fever. Went out on my first truggie heat and striped out the gears in the 1268..They wont replace stripped gears and frankly i am already over it.

not trying to bash, but i personally will never try a savox, ive read on ALOT of centering issues, as well as other problems, to many for my blood, on the other have the hitec 7995tg i believe, ran 2 of them for 2 different buggy's life...and they still strong???? i heard if a hitec goes bad, you can just walk into the shop u bought<or a shop in general> show receipt, and get a new one replaced no questions asked, if that's entirely true, how could you run anything less??? lol.. i personally run the ko Rsx line and the new Bsx line, i love my k.o.... but these are 180.00 servo's

Just as strong as all the fancy stuff listed by others, but less than half the price. You don't need the latest and greatest to have fun

hitec 7955TG is what I typically run for everything. They're practically indestructible. for my latest buggy, I've decided to give the good ole ace 1015 a try, for both steering and throttle.
The reason for using the same servo is so that things are consistent between different cars, different engines, etc. also, I keep a backup that works for both steering and throttle, is that I'd rather overkill than underkill. Also, you keep one backup that works for both, and you dont have to re-calibrate.
Back to hitec... did they ever release those new servos that they were showing off last year? Those things looked legit!

I have 8 Savox servos all 1268. A year in a half, not one problem..

Radiopost.
Savox's seem to be a little overrated, especially the speed, but when you factor in the price, they are still a good servo.
That said, I recently picked up a Radiopost RP3009M because a "trusty" Hitec died.. I don't think I will ever own another brand of servo, given the opportunity. They are fast, smooth, precise and really quiet. For the price, they simply can't be beat.
